Who was the "mysterious man in black" in Halloween 5 and 6?

I think ignoring the events of 4,5 and 6 was just an excuse to bring Jamie Lee Curtis back into the mix, considering she was meant to have died of natural causes 11 months "movie time" before Part 4.

EDIT: What happened to Michael Myers at the end of Halloween 6?

 

She was not suppose to die of natural causes. Her and her husband were allegelly involved in a car accident. BTW, who thinks the ending of Halloween 4 was great?

 

She avoids getting killed by Myers numerous times but gets killed in a car accident? Tough luck.

When I first saw the ending to Halloween 4 about 8 or 9 years ago, I was like "Oh no, not again."

 

She didn't die in a car accident, she faked her death by saying she did.

 

To answer your question the man in black was never supposed to be explained according to the makers of Part 5. However when they made part 6 called the Curse of Micheal Myers they passed it off as a celtic cult sect which can control Micheal. Now what is messed up in part 6 is that they kill Jaime if I remember who was the little girl in part 4 and 5 and is a young woman in part 6 who had a baby and micheal spends the whole damn movie trying to kill a little baby. The only cool thing about part 6 was that they show a grown up Tommy Doyle who was the little boy Jaime Lee Curtis was watching in Halloween 1. I got a chance to watch the producers cut of part 6 and in that version Jaime doesn't die.

H2O ruined it and was so bad I almost left the theatre. I doubt this new one will be any good either. I just wish they could go with a consistent mask in each film. Watch part 1 which was William Shatners face, then turns his mask into a baby face looking thing. Then in part 4 it's no detail at all on the mask, and part 5 which takes place minutes after part 4 the mask is changed again. Part 6 same thing. This new movie looks like he has the peoples eyebrow or something. I don't know.

 

Part 4's mask is stupid. It looks more friendly then intiminating.

 

I've never seen one, but there seems to be a cult following. I always figured they were boring movies, you know, 7 or 8 movies about a guy going around killing people?

Halloween- After killing his sister at the age of 6 20 years ago, a crazed maniac escapes his mental hospital in attmepts to kill his other sister.

Halloween 2- Taking place the same night as the first, his sister is taken to a hospital after her encounter. Micheal then goes and kills all in attempt to kill her.

Halloween 3: Season of the Witch- Don't know.

Halloween 4: The Return of Micheal Myers- After being believed dead for ten years, a burnt Micheal returns in attempts to kill his neice.

Halloween 5: The Revenge of Micheal Myers-Micheal continues to hunt down his neice.

Halloween 6: The Curse of Micheal Myers- Micheal is controlled by a cult and finally kills his neice.

H20: Halloween 20 Years Later-Micheal returns to kill his sister.

Halloween Reserrection- After killing his sister, Micheal returns to his child-hood home to find people living there in a Real-World type show.

 

Wow...that guy needs some serious family counseling, what'd they do? Deny him his cheerios when he was a kid?

 

It's been awhile since I saw part 6 and I think I missed 5, but I seem to recall something about Micheal being connected to a Celtic or Druid rune that had something to do with his "powers" or resistance to death. That actually in a round about way connects it back to part 3 which on the surface seems a bit out of place.

 

I just saw Halloween H20. That movie doesn't make any logical sense. Michael had nearly burned to death in Halloween II but there were no burn marks on his hands. Also, there was absolutely no mention of the "Thorn" symbol that was on Michael's wrist which relates him to the Druids.

Finally, after the ending I have no idea how they were able to come up with a story to the 8th film.
