Apparently, there was going to be a load of debris swirling around the three duellists (should that be triallists, if there are three?), showing that as well as the fight you could see going on, there was also a battle happening on another level in the Force. But the idea was dropped.

    Good move, IMHO...

Why use the Force when you're as deadly as Darth Maul?

One could argue that he was only that powerful because he did use the Force. ;)

Scott: An idea that was saved for EpIII, perhaps? Don't worry, if it's brought to the screen, I'm sure it will be in Star Wars fashion.

Maul never used force lightning because he was wearing gloves :)

It actually would have been pretty cool to see him use it, he does in that horrible Jedi Power Battles game. Its red colored too.

Redcolored? Well, that makes sense. Afterall, the Star Wars Encyclopedia refers to Palpatine's lightning attack as blue Force lightning. That means that there must be at least one other kind of Force lightning.
Which in turn means that Dooku and Palpatine are using Jedi lightning, since blue and green are for good guys and red is for bad guys!

Yeah, what rich-narco said. That's pretty much exactly what I was going to say. Telekenesis is just one of many ways to manipulate the force, and it takes extra concentration.
