    I will!

I live in So. Cal. now and people like that I am from Jersey.

It pisses me off when people enjoy that people are from New Jersey! That's one of the biggest things that caused me to make this thread!

Me and my uncle were at a warehouse once hosing down his trailer(Not a White Trash Trailer, a trailer with WORK EQUIPMENT! Because he WORKS!) and this black lab' walked by and he said "She's from New Jersey" and that's when I first made the big observation, TWO YEARS AGO! "She knows the [Last name of our family]s too."

    Is your uncle a monkey?

    Yes.

Drive thorugh Camden and claim that, Shorty. But be nice and leave you password with someone before you go :p

Yeah, Jersey does have bad points. But it has its good points too. Just like every other state in the Union. The only thing that makes a guy or gal form NJ special is the fact that we have to put up with all the idiots that make jokes about NJ and haven't even been to the bloody state. :p

And what does that have to do with ANYTHING? Florida gets hit by a lot of hurricanes, so therefore it sucks. How's that for logic?

Yes, and you have ILookLkOrlandoBloom, so seems we're even. Plus, hurricane days totally own snow days.

LifeSabre, I wouldn't be too surprised if this summer in New Jersey I'm being taken down those same roads to that same house and... "Hey Shorty, this is where your cousin lives! We're staying here for the week!"

Go to your local travel agency and look for an advertisment for Jersey, Detroit or Melbourne Australia.

You'll see them for Sydney, New York and Los Angeles.

I don't have to go somewhere to learn from others mistakes.

"And NJ doesn't have "hills and trees galore." It has homes. And homes. And destroyed trees to be replaced with homes. "

I'm from Jersey and although that seems true...the whole northwestern side of the state is all farms and mountains. But then again thats only 2 counties: Warren and Hunderton. BUT Jersey sucks still because drivers here are crazy(but pa drivers are the ultimate worse). ALSO when cows out number people thats a big problem! The worse part about the driving thing..they'll give people who don't speak English or read it at that, a license but geez if ur a resident of the state who's actually American (rare) then you won't get your license at all. PLUS if you wanna live here and actually have a coversation with people you better know how to speak their language or you won't get anywhere. People always making fun of the 7-11 guys...dude come to Islen, Nj and you'll think you stepped into India.

Although here in Warren County...we do have probably the ONLY English speaking gas station in the state. (they even put a sign up that reads: English spoken here) [face_clown] Its great!

After reading the contents of this thread, coupled with my preconceptions of NJ, I'm pretty damn glad I'm still living in the middle of nowhere.

Unfortunately, I'm going to have to move elsewhere once I get my degree since there's no place in a 500 mile radius I could really apply it with.

Okay Shorty. Calm down. I was starting to agree with you about people from NJ always talking about being a Jersey boy or "I'm from Jersey dog!". Same thing goes for people from NY that live in the South. "Brooklyn what!!". Man I can't stand that. I have pride for my city and you should have pride for your city too, but it is a little much when people move to or visit another place and all they talk about is their city and how great it is. That's when I tell them to shut the hell up , quit talking about Atlanta, and move back there if they like it so damn much. I was starting to agree with you about what you said then you went too far. You talked about the Carolinas and Virginia. You don't talk about the South at all. The South is where to live. Especially Atlanta. You wanna know what great things have come from Atlanta? If I listed them all this post would look like a term paper. In Atlanta we don't get freakish snowstorms, hurricanes, tornadoes, or earthquakes. Granted, if there is even mention of snow everyone freaks out and heads to the grocery store, but thats mostly the people who have lived here 5 years or less. We do get the leftovers of dying hurricanes once they reach the mainland. We have great weather. In the summer it gets hot and in the winter it gets really cold and in fall and spring its wonderful. It's not too hot and it's not too cold. It's just right. Summer nights are the best. Daylight til 9pm or so and its always a nice 70-75 degrees outside at night. You might say, "Hey he's contradicting himself from what he said a few sentences up!" No, I'm not because I don't go to other cities and proclaim how great Atlanta is and how terrible their cities are. But Shorty you are wrong for talking about the Carolinas, Virginia, and anything in the South. The South has given so much to this country and to the world and we still get **** for it. But we still welcome everyone with open arms and the legendary southern hospitality you hear of is a part of everyday life. Don't knock it til you try it. Now the one thing you might say about Georgians is that we suck at driving. Well, you got it wrong. We don't suck. You do. We know how to drive on our highways and roads. It's you people from other states that come in and don't know how to drive therefore causing all of us to weave around you, flick you off, ride your tail, do a minimum of 80, and other things that out of towners find annoying. It's not us. It's you. But we still like you.

I have nothing against the south, I love the south, just not the eastern states. I'm more of a Arizoner/New Mexica/Texas lovin' fellow. Even though I did say bad things about Arizoner and New Mexica, they were just jabs at them, but I love those states. As for Virginia. ACK! I hate it!

Right, since Arizona and Texas are considered to be in the southwest section of the United States. So basically, you like the southwest and care nothing for the southeast. It is wrong for you to say you like the South when in reality you only like the southwest. The South consists or more than just Tx, Az, and NM. It entails Tn, Ky, Va, SC, NC, Ga, Al, Ms, La, Ar, Tx, Mo, and Fl. That is what is taught in schools as the South. And when I refer to the South it is to those states. Not Az and NM.

Only good thing about Jersey are $4.00 packs of cigarettes and Fuddruckers, home of the World's Greatest Hamburgers.
