Why do porn movies try to have a story?

What's really bad is the fact that our local Blockbuster decides to keep everything right in alphabetical order.

So the porno film Pirates is right next to Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean.

They put a big neon orange sticker on it saying "THIS IS NOT A FAMILY MOVIE".

 

lol, what the hell?

 

Because nobody remembers the story to Sorority Slut Sisters of '29.

 

Good pornos don't have a story, aside from:

Hey, wanna have sex?

Ok!

 

Cause it's the fine line between "actor" or "artist" and "prostitute".

 

Don't be silly, there is no line between artist and prostitute.

 

So some people want at least an intro, others just want a highlight reel.

You know last week I had two separate occasions where two attractive women came to my door, selling me something. Never once did they "try to convince me" to go with what they were selling. I'm starting to think porn films are about as realistic as movies about giant robots turning into cars.

I fail to see how this doesn't stand alongside Citizen Kane and Bladerunner.

There's a genre in the industry called "Gonzo" which is just sex scene after sex scene. No story. And many of these "Gonzo" films are made in the good Ol'USA. Gonzo films are becoming more increasing popular than "Featured films" (porn movies with storylines).

"Censored porn" is commonly refered to as "Softcore." The typical stuff you'd find on Cinemax late at night.


Porn has a long history of spoofing pop-culture films, personalities and TV shows. "Pirates" is just another flick in a very long line of spoof skin flicks.

However, there have been a porn movie or two that was able to make it to main stream America and are considered classics, such as "Behind the Green Door," (WIKI) and "Deep Throat" (WIKI)
