Why do some Europeans smell really bad?

Germans smell bad; I've only been there thrice, but let's just say the hygiene industry doesn't get much business over there.

 

Gravy, nobody referenced a specific french person who smells bad. So far as a collective, we know 3 russians who smell bad and 1 Czech

 

Certainly not in Catalunya, they smell great there.

 

My father is Serbian and he has some pretty bad BO.

 

They smell because they touch themselves at night.

 

Oh well the answer to the thread subject is...well not sure I guess its different standards. Must also be a result of the wars where warm water was hardly available and it remained in people's consciousness.

Also I think people here aren't noticing the smell because they're used to it.

At the end though this thread is simply forcing one standards on another

To be fair only people from Germanic countries tend to do that. Think of The Netherlands, Germany etc.

I had a german exchange student who was cute AND smelled pretty. I haven't seen her in 4 years.

Live here for 19 years thank you very much and yes out of experience I notice alot of Dutch women don't shave their armpits. Admittance most of them are the older generation or so to speak.

Maybe not the newer generation, like yourself.

 

I just took a shower so there's one less stinky American now.

I had a friend from Latvija, she didn't smell that bad. Didn't shave her legs, but she didn't smell bad.

 

American's have the best hygiene.

I know and have known many Europeans and many Americans and even a few Africans and Asians. Out of all the people I have ever known from wherever they happened to be from, the Africans were the smelliest, the Europeans smoked too much, the Asians were short, and the Americans tended to be self-righteous and ignorant.

As an American, I can say that I have been guilty of each and every one of these traits at one point or another. Not today though.

Well, I've lived here for 23 years, so I guess by your logic that makes my opinion better than yours. I've never seen a woman with unshaved armpits, so you must just have looked at the wrong women.

 

Americans are such idiots. Seriously, I met this guy once from Nebraska, and he thought that New Zealand was up in the Arctic Circle.

I worked with some guy from Alabama once. He was a member of the KKK and lynched black people in his spare time, and had the Confederate flag tatooed all over his forearms.

The one I know is more mouthy about how great New England and New Hampshire in praticular is greater than even America as a whole.

I think the have medication for that, I'm not sure.
