You all know the Bounty Hunter Durge from the Clone War Cartoon?

After the battle of the Clone Wars, Count Dooku found a suitable replacement for Jango Fett in the 2,000 year old bounty hunter Durge. In ancient times, durge fought alongside the Sith against the Jedi, until the Sith were driven into extinction a millenia before the Battle of Naboo. In the years that followed, Durge established himself as one of the greatest bounty hunters until he was defeated by the Mandalorians while attempting to collect a bounty on their leader. Although he was held captive and tortured by the commandos, he escaped and spent a century in hibernation to recover from the ordeal. When he awoke shortly after the Battle of Geonosis, he discovered the the Mandalorians had been almost wiped out entirely. Upon learning of Jango's involvement with the creation of the Republic's clone army, Durge joined forces with the Sepratists to exact his revenge on the last remnants of the Mandalorians.

What I fail to understand, given this information, is why Durge would have a large Mandalorian Skull painted on his armor. Why would he bear the insignia of an organization that he hates so much?

Maybe he put it on there so other Mandalorians would think he is a Mandalorian as well and approach him, it's an old bait and switch method. Other than that I would have no idea.

at this time...I would have to go with the same reason that Bounty Hunters were something from there conquests.

    Like Wookie Scalps and things...

It is a thing of honor.

In my dreams here, I have seen the destruction of the Jedi. The death of the Republic. I have seen the Temple in ruins, the Senate smashed, and Coruscant itself shattered by orbital bombardment from immense ships of impossible design. I have seen Coruscant, the seat of galactic culture, become a jungle far more hostile and alien than any on Haruun Kal.
I have seen the end of civilization.

Actually I believe I heard somewhere that he took the symbol and altered it in some way, renaming it the "Death's Head" instead of having it represent the Mandalorian Skull. Sort of like how the Empire took the old Republic symbol and altered it to create its own. ;) :)

Ken Kenobi- And you have a nice day ;)

Well Wedge has numerous TIEs and 2 Death Stars painted on his X-Wing, but he's no imp.
