I first played KOTOR with a fem Revan and I have to say I found it quite intersting and amusing, and not just the whole Revan/Carth and Revan/Juhani thing.

And what was it? The irony.

Canderous said that Revan was the only one who defeated the Mandalorians. Interesting how a woman managed to do this, kind of like Eowyn killing the witch-king in Return of the King.

Also, someone like Malak, who is a poncy git of a Sith and at the same time is also menacing and impressive, answering to a woman?

And finally, the Carth romance, as I particularly like the scene in KOTOR 2 that you get if you had a female Revan. The fact that Carth loved her and they had to part so Revan could go on saving the galaxy is just wonderful.

Oh, and Bastilla is a toff, unless you piss her off.

    Any thoughts?

Revan is better as a man because men are better than women.

I guess this has been discussed to death...
Then it was brought up again to beat the dead horse for another round ;)

    That being said ;)
Revan works better as a man. The story works better, Bastila is way more important to the story than Carth is, thus the romance is more important. Bastila is a better character than Carth. The complaints about Bastila aren't any better than those about Carth, neither are right.
The little scene in KOTOR II doesn't matter, because Bastila has such a scene as well.

Now the Exile on the other hand, it's pretty close when it comes to this matter. The male Exile has the advantage of the Handmaiden being better than Disciple, getting more out of Atris. The female Exile has the advantage of a more interesting Sion.

Even though I'm a girl, Revan does work better as a man. If your a male Revan and you've done the Bastila romance, when she gets kidnapped not only are you saving the Jedi who mastered battle meditation and will pwn you, but also the girl you like.

Plus, Carth is just an annoying ******.

I always thought Revan was better as a woman and Exile as a man, but that is probably just because those were my most fun playthroughs.

Because revan has been canonized as male, I have a hard time seeing revan as a woman anymore. But prior to his gender being canon, I always thought Revan should be a woman for the sole fact that we hadnt seen any powerful female sith lords in a big SW story. Revan always sounded more like a feminine name to me anyway. When I found out that revan was officially a male, i was disappointed. I felt cheated out of my carth/juhani/malak storylines, not to mention jolee and other male characters' interaction with you and I also felt cheated out of having a strong, female sith/redeemed jedi figure. KOTOR 2 changed all this for me. Not only did we get Darth Traya and Master Atris (two strong female sith lords/ corrupted jedi), Exile was also officially female. She broke all the rules and had a sort of strength and influence that Revan had. So i really dont care if revan is a man anymore, I just wish the exile would get some sort of name.

That's another reason I wanted her to be a woman, a woman being the dark lord was such a coup even though I knew Revan was canonically male when I played it.

P.S. You're about four years late.

In 2012, Katana_Geldar's gonna post "Hey, you know this Starkiller guy's really cool and he's got his own game!"

Remind me to tell you in four years about The Clone Wars TV show.[face_peace]

Carth is whiny and annoying. I once played through as female with him, to see what I was missing. I was missing more whine and cheese.

Revan works better as a guy.

I can be very, very patient when it comes to games, Rex.

When TFU comes out on PC I will get it as I don't own a console and am against owning one. And remember, I live in Australia.

IMO, the Exile is totally lame. I thought so before it was even canon'd as a girl. The exile is vanilla, and Revan is chocolate chip cookiedough.

Why not? Too expensive, or you don't like the idea of always having to buy a newer console? ie. Ps3 > Ps2 > Ps1 > Ps

TFU for Pc, would've been great, they could've just ported the WiiPs2PsP version.

I don't like the idea of buying a new console every few years and making all the games I got for the old one obselete.

Cannon for an RPG is completely irrelevant, to how I look at the experience. Neither Male Revan nor Female Revan strike me as being especially more fitting but the Exile is far more in game complete as a male.

Never played Revan as a female, so I can't say which I think is better. Juhani did tell my male Revan that she loved him though, IIRC.

As for the Exile, however, I think both Exile genders are VERY interesting. The male Exile gets Brianna's adoration, a possible past romance with Atris (IIRC), and Visas's unwavering dedication(/love?).

The female Exile gets Disciple's interest, Sion's infatuation, and Atton's love. I think that had the content not been cut and rushed, the latter would have been deeply more interesting. As it is, though, I think that the Exile/Atton romance is still pretty entertaining.

Both are good but I gotta go female. Why? Because she'd rip the balls off sexists and that'd be as a Jedi. For her to be queen badass Sith is both frightening and beautiful.
