Right when Anakin has cut off Dookus hands the saber does these strange noises and right after Dooku is beheaded by the two sabers some strange noises by the sabers can be heard. The sounds can be heard very easily. Why would the sabers make those strange saber sound.

I heard them too... I guess the sound of two sabers making contact and used as a pair of scissors causes that strange sound... it was eerily creepy!
I thought it was the sound of a Force-Tremor. It's supposed to happen when any Jedi is killed. In the novelization of The Phantom Menace, Obi-Wan supposedly feels a tremor when he kills Maul.

They were some sort of fizzling sounds that came after he uses the sabers as scissors, right? i have never heard them in the other two PT movies, and darth-trepidor, did you also hear a similiar sound after the hands were severed?

And to you that don't know what im talking about, go and watch the movie again.

I've seen it enought to know that it's the sound of 2 lightsabers rubbing against each other.

No, he means that weird screeching noise that can be heard after Dooku's head is cut off. I'm not sure what it is.

Again, have two lightsabers never rubbed agianst each other before? Hardly.

I know the sound you're talking about. It reminded me a little of the "de-rez" sound you hear when someone dies in the movie Tron. I think it's a sound that may happen whenever a Sith is destroyed because I suspect that a similar sound echoed from the pit when Maul fell into it and again when Sidious falls. I need to watch those scenes again in TPM and RotJ to see how they compare. Strange that this gets brought up here and now because I noticed it and was thinking that this very morning.

You can also hear that screeching fx when Luke and Vader clinch sabers in ROTJ.

No, it's not a saber-lock sound or anything like it. It happens AFTER Dooku's head is liberated from his torso and the sound occurs as his body is collapsing to the floor. My theory is that it's the Dead Sith jingle.

EDIT: It's probably the sound of a dozen Jawas singing, "Dink, dink! The Sith is dead! Which old Sith? The Apprentice Sith! Dink, dink! The Wicked Sith is Dead!"

Maybe it's the sound of cauterized blood being burned off the blades. They are self-cleaning, no?

Well, then that's easy. Straight from the ROTS novelization:
"The headless torso collapsed with a slowly fading sigh from the cauterized gape of its trachea...."
In other words, Dooku's lungs emptied themselves of air as his body collapsed. Makes sense. Case closed.

I thought it was eerily similar to the sound that you get when doing shooting the force lightning. I think it was related to the "darkness" in the room.

guys! it's clearly blood/skin/neck parts that have lingered on the top of the saber and are being sizzled. When I first saw the movie, this was as clear as day to me.

I know what you're talking about with the sound, but I have no idea what it was. It was like Dooku's saber turning off in the air or something like that

No, the sound came before the lightsabers were turned off and another strange sound also came, that sound was probaly from the lungs that was emptied, as somebody else say.

Its just the sound of two sabers sliding down each other while bits of human flesh or blood or watever sizzles of the saber as it lingers on. We hear the similar sound in ROTJ when luke is fighting against Vader.

It's the echo of the two sabres being used as scissors and rubbing down each other. I loved this sound the first time i heard it, it's great, but i strongly suspect it's ressonating sound is created by an echo effect of the large room and the scissor chop. :0)
