For what it's worth, sacharias, I agree with you on Ahsoka being likely to take after Anakin in this regard. I just disagree with you about Rex being a likely romantic partner for her. If you can write a good fanfic that can show the Rexsoka pairing plausibly, then I'd be interested in reading it at some far-off point. However, I don't think TCW's writers are competent enough to do it properly, and they haven't exactly built up to it, IMO.

It's the same with any of these unseen pairings in any story. It could be done well, but I haven't seen it yet in the (admittedly limited) set of fiction I've had access to...

No agreement there, so we should just put it to rest.

I'm actually thinking of Rex and Fives having convergent opinions from S4 onwards. Rex is apparently disdainful of how the Republic is now treating the clones, and Fives has every reason to become bitter and cynical after Echo's death. Perhaps there's some slight disillusionment on both their parts. Being clones, they're unlikely to become out-and-out traitors or deserters, but I think we'll see that Rex and Fives are not the same sort of legionaries as Commander Appo...

I got the notion that Fives would become a foil for Rex and possibly blame him for the death of Echo. Fives sounded angry and like he's talking down to Rex there to me. But I like your thoughts as well Quango.

So he is gonna be disgusting whiner- Echo killed himself with his decisions that's NOT Rex's fault in any way but i could see Fives thinking so because that would make him to be pain in the *ss for Rex:p I must say i'm anxiously awaiting Umbara-arc it looks to have some damn cool episodes- spacebattle for example looks AWESOME:D But is there Yularen? Or even new officers?

As some may have noticed I'm sucker for officers- that's crazy really- but i'm always happy to see new naval and army officers (both Republic and CIS- unfortunately sharkman failed by being too sharklike)- yeah they may not be 'cool' like clones -usually don't even see actual action, but there is something so great to see new officer-character standing or sitting on the bridge and controlling whole battle- just a word and huge ships open fire etc. that's seriously bad*ss to command such power....

Umbarans should have some cool general and/or admiral that wouldn't be idiotical coward but actually clever and threatening and..... yeah this is off-topic:D but this thread is like new "Ahsoka's fate-thread" what comes to staying on topic:p

Not saying Fives will be a whiner. Just sayin' Fives sounds disgruntled, perhaps towards both the wars and a Captain he's loosing faith in. Captain is trash talking the war and the Republic, dislikes what the clones are becoming (talking nonsense), and its possible to irrationally blame Rex to the Death of everyone else in Domino squad.

I think the Umbara arc looks fantastic. Great animation and the plot sounds cool. I kinda wish Cody's group would show up for that. Waxer and Boil would be interesting to see in this arc me thinks. I have no idea what this CIS general will be like but maybe we'll get a jet black tactical droid.

I still think Rex is commander now but we'll see..

But W&B are Cody's men and therefore Obi-Wan's clonetroops and i prefer no tactical at all this time- i have seen enough of them for now- seems like they don't even have any battle droids- so why to have tactical?

Maybe they receive droid reinforcements but i haven't seen any droids in clips so i guess Umbarans didn't receive any prior the battle.... i dunno but that's the picture i got- they are fighting living enemies this time.... big wormthingy in one trailer may be droid or just vehicle of Umbarans...

Anyway It's sure that arc is gonna be the Darkest arc yet:p

those bit spherical capital ships are designed by George Lucas himself i think it was said in one previous commentary that he designed a new capital ship for the CIS himself- i call it "bar shot-cruiser" until name is certain:p because it looks a bit like ancient bar shot of cannon:p

We certainly will. I still think he was accidently called a Commander by the io4.com article which is the only source that said 'Commander' so far.

Yeah, I recognize no sign of Obi-wan means no Cody and no Waxer or Boil. I kind of secretly want Obi-wan and his men to show up. There would just be something about seeing Waxer in this situation against humanoid opponents.

The Vehicles do look cool. I think we've got atleast three whole episodes of Umbara coming (Dee said it was a long arc) and I don't think we've seen that much of it. Some droids could show up.

I'm hoping it'll be a really dark arc. Although for the record everything doesn't have to be grim-dark which is kinda what the episode looks like. There's your Batman homage. I was not aware Lucas designed a new capital ship. I must have missed that commentary. Where was it?

It is old thing really that came up with season3 commentaries- first thing ever we heard about season4 i think:p It's quite simple design but more imaginative than for example TOR-cruisers- that are all stardestroyers or blockade runners... maybe it's Umbaran capital ship in fact- they also got cool fighters- looks like clones steal some those- gonna be cool space-action episode if there is clones starring- hopefully Yularen too.....

oh and Dave said cloneofficers will have caps now - i wonder if admirals also use caps then- Tarkin never used cap in ANH so he shouldn't use any now, but cannot say about Yularen- he had cap as ISB-colonel[face_thinking] .... also Coburn should return to be Plo's companion so his model would have more purpose than one line in Citadel Rescue.....

Maybe the caps will be optional? Some clones just don't like hat hair. =P

That space battle looks like its going to be cool. I had one screenshot as my background briefly that was of Jesse flying possibly one of those alien fighters and you can see clones falling in the background.

    [image=http://i55.tinypic.com/1zz3ml2.jpg]

I barely remember who Coburn is. I'll take your word for it that he's cool. I don't want to watch the Citadel Arc again. I've already gotta watch 'Grevious Intrigue' again later for the other thread which means I'll probably end up watching 'The Deserter' for the hundredth time. I still wonder what kinds of chores they were doing. Were they milking alien cows or cleaning their rooms..? Do kids in Star Wars trash their rooms?

    No it's phase-2 look of officers:p

Yeah i don't mind to be spoiled but it's obvious that he pilotes that umbaran fighter- all controls are holographic that's high-tech- except that one glitch and all buttons are gone as well[face_laugh]

How can anyone forget such a memorable character?[face_laugh] - he was obviously voiced by Dee Bradley but still cool- i really would like to see Merillion Tarko from TFU in TCW as admiral -he was also voiced by Dee Bradley

they had no alien cows to milk[face_laugh] - besides all drink blue banthamilk anyway- is that blue stuff bantha milk? I always thought blue milk is banthamilk but now i have to confess i don't know:D
And kids definitely trash their rooms some rules of the universe just cannot be changed[face_laugh]

That reminds me- I know it's pointless for the show and fpr the war- but I would like to see Mrs. Yularen- Mrs. Tarkin appears in comics but is Yularen married- does he have kids? Would be fun to see his family:D

    It does look cool.

Guess I will have to watch atleast 'Citadel Rescue' now. I can't recall since most of Dee's extras are sounds or strange voices.

Lol, they don't seem old enough for serious farm chores at night. Do kids still get into trouble for trashing their rooms? Which one is the disciplinary of the family? What kinds of punishments would kids gets?

I have no idea. Can you imagine Yularen reading a bedtime story?

Nothing too strict i guess- their family had that 'Little House on the Prairie'- atmosphere so kids are all nice and don't disobey their parents and everyone is happy- sun shines etc.:p then few years and imperial pressgang finds out and takes father to army and sells family to slavery[face_skull]

I sure can- every story starts always with moral teaching and this theme[face_laugh]

"The Galactic senate is debating about the taxation of trade routes...." see they all sleep already[face_laugh]

    Listen while you read.

    Journey to Grandma's house!
Chief Librarian of the Jedi Archives, Jocastu Nu, calls for aid.
Padawan Ahsoka Tano must travel through the woods to bring Grandma a picnic basket.
The woods are fraught with danger, and Grandma may more than she appears.

Dude 'Little House on the Prairie' was strict. Have you ever read 'Caddie Woodlong'? They beat the kids. I like to think those kids are normal and not perfect angels. Particularly seeing how Jek's all like -- "I didn't do it, you did it" -- Implying Shaeeah is the trouble maker while he sounds like a total momma's boy, lol.

I imagined something more like this...

Ok, trying to get back on topic. Do you guys think the Umbara arc will be all we'll see of Rex and he'll be a background guy the rest of the time like in Season 3 or that he'll be a part of other episodes in Season 4?

Eh haven't read- what do you mean Cut and Suu beat their kids?.... Whatever i didn't meant it is bad thing if they have a 'Little House on the Prairie'- Star Wars hardly is realistic in anyway- it doesn't need to be and i cannot imagine them beating their kids... that's too much....

It is just fair towards other characters if he has 4 eps where he is starring and then goes to BG.... there is so much more characters to follow but Padmé needs to disappear completely after first half is over..... Rex can remain as background-fellow

I can't imagine those kids getting beat either. The worst Cut and Suu would possibly do is threaten to ground. For some reason I imagine Cut would have a similar relationship to Shaeeah as Darkwing Duck did with Gosalyn. I admit I never watched 'Little House on the Prairie' but I've read both it in novel form and 'Caddie Woodlawn' which are very similar and take place in the Midwestern U.S. in the 1870s. In those books the parents are very strict and things get a bit midevil when the kids do get in trouble which I guess was normal back then. 'Little House' is a good comparison in some ways but not in that way, I'm just sayin.

I don't think I meant background character so much as I meant active character, I mean doing more than coming up behind Anakin and standing there while he talks as if he's the coffee boy or something.

Little house is such a syrupy
TV-series- no they don't beat their kids in TV-adaption (haven't read anything it's based on) they don't even shout to their kids- it's perfect idyll really and greatest villains are usually people who are just bit rude to others- I guess Woodlawn is more realistic that way since Little House is just extremely cute show that may cause sickness in some people[face_laugh] it is sunshine and puppies :) which is whitewashed picture of reality - it has no violence in any form really...

Well anyway i'm not hoping he takes over the show- 4 episodes of clones and Rex sounds great but he is not that interesting he would need more during this season- he may have supporting roles later but not main roles.... Cody could be starring for once....

I'm not sayin' Rex takes over the show. I'm just saying does more than this the other 19 episodes.

Anakin technically didn't do much in season 3's first half so it is possible. Its just not likely we'll go without him entirely for longer than 3 episodes. If it really is going to be you know what to the walls action then I doubt it this season.

I didn't understand your impression:p but anyway yeah it is unlikely that we would follow completely other characters- but i'd rather see Obi-Wan alone than always Anakin or Ahsoka and episodes like Lair of Grievous work well enough without any of those- Kit, Aayla, Shaak, Plo, Ki-Adi can do it alone no need to any of the big3- we should also see Anakin and Ahsoka bit more together they tend to show them alone too many times.... But no more Padmé starring -episodes those are sickening.... hopefully they also stop 3po-r2 starring -episodes after this new arc -i'm not liking them that much- we saw plenty of them in OT and there is no need to do OT again but now focus more on stuff we haven't seen- and we have seen alot of R2 and 3po already in this show... they are funny sidekicks but not main characters really that is just rehashing ANH....

Simply put if season 4 is the season of action and explosions then Anakin will probably be hard to get away from. One of the big problems with TCW is so many characters fighting for screentime along side the most central characters Anakin and Ahsoka. This may be a reason why Obi-wan doesn't seem to be in season 4. Although my theory is he will be a regular in the back half and those episodes weren't complete enough yet to go in the tailer. When you think about it Obi-wan was not in Season 3 alot. After 'ARC Troopers' Obi-wan was absent almost entirely until we got to 'Hunt For Ziro' in Season 3, after that he skipped 2 more episodes.

Yes Dave himself said how there is so much guys fighting for screentime but i would really really leave Padmé out now after this- she has had far more screentime than she deserves in warcentered show.... Obi-Wan being such a major movie-character is not disaster not to always have him , but i think he returns during latter half- after all he was on the Mortis and Mauls' slayer- and Satine may come back so Obi can be part of that Mando-storyline with Ahsoka and Lux, continuation of Mortis storyline or Maul-storyline.... Wasn't Obi mentioned by Filoni when they talked about how we will learn more about how jedi not know about Anakin and Padmé- so he is not completely thrown away:p

epic- I guess this storyline has that shistavanen villain[face_laugh]
