Worst *Brand New* Character from the Clone Wars

Though I also found Wag Too to be even more annoying than his father. Maybe because his name was Wag Too.

 

Wag Too, Jaybo, Nala Se, I hate Almec for making fun of Jango, Cassie and her pink fish friend, any Monkey Lizard in TCW that appears.

 

I'm curious to know what Nala Se has done to offend you?

 

And still nobody has mentioned the Italian fish guy?

I hate that guy, too. Sadly, he was tortured by a 14-year-old girl.

Edit: I had a good explanation why Nala Se was a weak character a year and a half ago when "Shadow of Malevolence" aired.

I was just thinking... does BJ Hughes' Jar Jar count as a brand-new character? Because he achieved brand-new levels of suck. I don't even MIND Jar Jar, but I can't bring myself to watch any episode with Hughes again. These are episodes I'd likely enjoy, if not a LOT at least a good deal MORE, if Ahmed Best had been in on them.

Let me list for you THE 10 reasons why Monkey Lizard is awesome:

1. It's an intelligent creature with an awesome design to boot
2. It makes awesome sounds
3. It hangs out with pirates
4. It drinks booze straight from the bottle
5. It pours booze into sleeping people's ears
6. It commands a group of pirates
7. It sits on Dooku's shoulder
8. It pickpockets lightsabers from a Sith Lord (EPIC WIN!)
9. It snatches Anakin's own lightsaber out of his hands, again making hilarious sounds
10. Whenever there's something going on that seems impossible to explain... MONKEY LIZARD DID IT!

 

I HATE Ziro too..

That, for me, was the most bizarre "What the hell?" moment in the show so far.

"He-a lives onna da upper east-a side of our HAPPY LAAAAAAAAAAND."

It was funny, I guess, but kind of lame since they at least bothered to give Robonino a pretty cool creepy/weird voice.

 

I'm with you on that one. Other than the Mando continuity ramifications, I find her pretty self-righteous and annoying.

Throw in Pre Vizsla as well. Most spineless Mando ever. So naturally, they make HIM the leader of Death Watch

I see lots of Ziro--but I actually like that character.

I don't get all the hate towards Jaybo. The kid was all right in my opinion.

Not everyone likes the stereotype treatment for characters like Ziro and Jar Jar. Just because it's been done before doesn't mean people like it.

 

Jaybo was a cool kid. Don't hate!

My most hated character would have to be the mad scientist guy, though. Lousy design, lousy voice, lousy character, lousy episode. (The first one, anyway. 1000 Moons was cool.)

Most disappointing character is Cassie Cryar. She had a cool design. I thought she was going to be an awesome bad guy. She turned out to be a chump with a boring voice.

You're right, Xcell, there's no point in engaging in that fruitless stereotype debate.

 

Guys, I missed this comment the first time around, but this is the type of comment that you could get banned for. There's nothing wrong with saying Cassie is a lame character with a lame voice, but to criticize her for being a lesbian is not acceptable.

It's similar to someone saying "this month-long break between episodes is so gay". Not. Acceptable.

Please be careful in this thread - there's certainly nothing wrong with pointing out the stereotypes that Star Wars sometimes throws in, almost randomly, but let's not fall prey to other stereotypes here.

Hm, yeah, I was wondering why nobody commented on that. To be honest I expected certain people to jump in, but they didn't. The comment annoyed me, but I didn't want to start an argument in an otherwise peaceful thread.

I have to pick Ziro as my least favorite one. A lot of the characters have had really annoying voices, but he's by far the worst. Plus, he's a recurring character, not just someone who was in for a single episode (and since he isn't dead yet, he'll probably be back...)

Although, I also really didn't like Jabba's son, Rotta. Decisions, decisions...

 

Yup, it's gotta be Ziro for me. The voice, the attitude...it bugs me to no end. I also find Padme boring...moreso than she was in the movies.

Robonino and Bannamu have got to be some of my favorite new characters in the series. I recall laughing to tears at that scene where Ahsoka interrogated Bannamu! X'D

Definitely a season 2 highlight in my book.
