Worst line in AOTC

Whenever Padme kisses Anakin... no just kidding, i'm just jealous. Probably it would have to be many uses of m'lady, my young padawan and the highly intolerated line, " i don't like sand...etc." Geez Anakin, just 'cause your good looking it doesn't mean you can get away with that garbage .

 

How about

"Maybe by your presence the mystery surrounding this threat will be revealed"
(by the way she says this, I think nathalie had probs w this line too!)

Or

"you wanna cuppa jawa juice?"

 

"Ani, what's wrong?"

DUH? Well okay, my mother is dead... remember we just buried her, up there in the sand. Looks like she was beaten, maybe even worse. And while she prolly had little water, on a desert planet where one would almost beg for water all the time.... she died in my arms telling me she loved me. And WHICH PART ARE YOU NOT GETTING HERE SENATOR?

When anakin says to Padme "You are in my very soul..."

This movie has lots of bad lines.

For one,

"every thing here is so... soft"

Lots of lines seem forced. Most of the time it's just bad writing, like grammer and wrong usage . I Just finished Lit 01, so I know about this stuff and I write myself.

But sometimes it's just plianly stupid.

 

Another "worst" line, for me, is the wildly popular smack-talk out of Windu's mouth, "This party's over."

What! Why? you ask.

First, I am not impressed with the entire character of Mace Windu - seems unnecessary.

Second, if Windu is supposed to be a master, why is he so arrogant?

Lastly, I can't help but hear, in my mind, these additional words every time I watch that scene, "Yo! Whacked-punk! This party's over! Homie!"

It ruins it for me. They're Jedi - not blacktop basketball players goading each other talkin? smack.

Switch one word and it would be a lot easier to digest - take out "party" and put in "contest" - it elevates the whole line.



This is all IMHO - of course.

I'm suprised no one mentioned Padme's forced, "I truly........deeply.........love you."

That's the one line that kills me every time.

 

"We`re out`o rockets! "
" Follow him! "
" We gotta need some help! "

I don`t mind what they saw but I mind the way they all say those lines.

and Padmé says it too cute.

Still one of the best movies ever!!!!

Lines that were cut from AOTC:

Obi-wan: "Shoot him down!"

Pilot: "We're out of rockets, sir!"

Obi-wan: "Then use your guns!"

Pilot: " . . . um, Guns? Sir?"

Obi-wan: "Yes! You blasters! It's that button above the rocket trigger!"

Pilot: "Look - we never got that far in training - I only do this one weekend a month, OK?"

Obi-wan: "Blast! . . . well, then follow him."

 

That's a good one!

Worst line...

Padme: Anakin, you've grown up.

Wow! I'm glad you're here to tell me these things! Could you be any more snotty and condesending when you say that?!

That entire scene with "Whiny" Annie and "I'm such a Know It All *****!" Padme (On sale soon from Hasbro!) drives me up the wall!!!

 

I want to make it clear that overall I love this movie. The grammar was off.

 

I love AOTC but:

"Seeing you brings warm feelings to my heart"

Man alive do I want to chuck every time I hear that line.

In close second place comes:

"Around the survivors a perimeter create"

Bluuurghh!!! ("out of this ship that little green **** kick")

and finally:

"I....love.....you.....I....love.....you...." uuuurghhh (head snaps back)

Why could Lucas not have introduced a CGI Shmi?!

If so thats not even a word it's Got to.

Every writer knows not to use slang or bad english. You can have intended slang.

You're contradicting yourself. You say that they know not to do it, but it's okay to do it.

Having slang in a movie helps add to the realism. Not everybody uses perfect grammar in the real world, so why should they in a fantasy world?

 

Exactly. Everyone I know in real life uses slang daily. Why have everything in the movies be perfect? You people want more realism after all

 

Hence a 15 year old could be excused for saying things like "I wish I could just wish...".

This is the musical refrain to Anakin's "You are in my very soul, tormenting me", which is also bad, but Padmé's line is worse.

 

"I've given up trying to argue with you."

 

Oh there's so many, and a lot of these aren't 100% accurate, but you'll get the general idea.

Anakin: "Just being around her again is.....intoxicating...."

Anakin: "Oh no, I'd be much to frightened to tease a Senator."

Padme: "I truly......DEEPLY.....love you."

Padme: "My how you've grown."
Anakin: "You've grown, too. More beautiful, I mean."

Pretty much anything Anakin and Padme said to each other.

C-3PO's horrible jokes during the battle scenes.

Anytime Anakin says, "milady"
Antyime Anakin says, "master"
Anytime Jar Jar opened his mouth.

A lot of Yoda's talking was sorry. I don't remember rolling my eyes watching the OT even once, but most of his lines are crap in the PT.

You can tell I don't like the movie, and seriously despise George's writing, can't you?

 

You guys are picking some of the best lines in the movie. For me, the worst line in Clones is, "Begun, the Clone War has."

Everyone probably thinks that's the best line in AOTC.

 

i just hate when anakin says that line

"Dont worry at least we have R2 with us" or something

and padme gives this completely fake laugh, it was lame
