Discussion Would you like to see George Lucas involved again in the new movies ?

Are you sure he said he doesn’t want to do it? I bet Spielberg wants to do a lot he just said he’s not done making movies or really winding down his career. He’s making his passion projects I would honestly not be surprised if Star Wars is among them. Obviously I don’t wanna force him to do it, but honestly I could see him doing it.

 

I spoke to him just now and he slammed the door.

 

This does seem to be the thread to suggest it. The probabilities of getting a Lucas directed film is probably low anyway, so we might as well suggest our head cannons….

Well, I just asked Lucas if he could come back, and he shot me with his head cannon. I'm dying.

 

The next Star Wars film will be directed by George Lucas and shot on location on Mars and in Jupiter’s orbit.

No one knows his universe better than George Lucas, But its also why he wouldn't come back. He probably wouldn't work under Disney or any corporation where he doesn't have creative control.

At one point i think he felt he could work WITH Disney, but they showed they didn't want to work with him.

 

I think people should let him enjoy his retirement.

I would love it if George was consulted with, and the project teams respectfully stayed within his vision. The sequel trilogy proved that this should have been the case.
