Yeah, I have absolutely no desire to see this movie anymore.

This is a real bummer. I was looking so forward to seeing Wolverine in Japan, fighting some ninjas and perhaps the Silver Samurai. It reminds me of Kitty Pryde and Wolverine limited series.

I just discussed with a co-worker that the reason interest in X-Men: First Class has been lukewarm or lower-than-expected was the consecutive disasters of X3 followed by the previous Wolverine movie. If Fox keeps fudging things up with the character and the franchise in general, then it's never gonna go back to any semblance of success as they had with X2.

I can't say I was crazy about Aranofosky as director, since I really don't dig much of his work. I don't know who this latest guy is. Maybe Fox should tap Chris Nolan to see if he can sprinkle his magic on the ol' canucklehead.

I liked Cop Land and 3:10 to Yuma so I'll hold out hope for this new director

I watched Knight and Day for the first time last night. It was pretty awful. Not holding my breath for this.

Uh, yeah, no mention anywhere that he also directed Walk the Line?

Well received critically, but not at the box office. It hasn't pulled the numbers previous installments did on their opening weekends. It can be due to the competition its facing right now, but my gut's telling me it might also be due to apathy towards this particular franchise after turds like X3 and X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

I think word-of-mouth will get more people to watch First Class as it goes on, if not then it may have high DVD sales. The movie is too good for people not to go and see it, far better than Wolverine or X-Men 3.

I'm not that interested in Wolverine 2.

I read an article expressing the same thoughts. That due to the lack of quality of X3 and X-Men Origins: Wolverine, First Class was hurt at the box office. Additionally, the article suggested the lack of Wolverine as a major charcter in the film effected ticket sales.

As for Hugh Jackman, I was watching TMZ yesterday and the showed a pic of him in a sleeveless shirt and dude was packing some major guns.
