What happened to the character of Rogue Squadron after the series was finished?

Wedge Antilles was promoted to General, married Iella Wessiri, and commanded fleets in the final campaigns against the Empire and the Yuuzhan Vong invasion, although this was interspersed with periods of retirement and a few stints leading the Rogues.

During the Second Civil War of 40-42 ABY, he briefly commanded the Corellian forces, before organizing a starfighter force for the Jedi. Wedge and Syal have two kids, Syal, now a fighter pilot, and Myri, a CorSec agent.

Tycho Celchu married Winter, and followed Wedge as his second-in-command; he later moved to Intelligence after Wedge's final retirement.

Hobbie Klivian continued to fly with Rogue Squadron until the final peace with the Empire in 19 ABY; long retired, he is now a bacta spokesperson.

Wes Janson retired to Tanaab in 19 ABY, and organized a squadron of volunteers against the Yuuzhan Vong (it's just about possible he's serving in the Taanab militia). Wedge recruited him for the pro-Jedi Rake Squadron in 42 ABY.

Corran Horn married Mirax and had two kids; he stayed with the Rogues until 19 ABY, then became a full-time Jedi, and eventually one of the most senior Masters on the High Council.

Nawara Ven and Rhysati Ynr left the military in 9 ABY to marry; Nawara acted as the second-in-command of Booster's Errant Venture for many years, and they presumably made their home aboard the big ship, but by 43 ABY, Nawara had returned to practice as an attorney on Coruscant. Rhysati continued to fly, acquiring a modern Eta-5 interceptor... in circumstances that even Lando Calrissian felt were shady.

Aril Nunb remained in the military but seems to have left Rogue Squadron after the Bacta War; she may have been given permanent command of the reactivated War Frigate, and by 25 ABY, she was an Admiral, commanding the VSD Protector.

Ooryl Qrygg remained in Rogue Squadron until after the war with the Empire ended in 19 ABY. Apparently he's referred to in Dark Tide: Onslaught, in 25 ABY, but I can't find the reference...

Gavin Darklighter decided to adopt two war orphans who hung around the Rogue Squadron hangars; he fell in love with the social services caseworker handling the case, and they married and had three more children. Darklighter remained in Rogue Squadron after 19 ABY and was the unit's commander during the Yuuzhan Vong War (25-30 ABY). Promoted to commodore after that war, he worked his way up the flag ranks, becoming one of the Alliance's leading admirals in the Second Civil War - in spite of the increasingly dark leadership of Darth Caedus. After the war, he became commandant of the Galactic Marines, a commando force assigned to the Navy.

Asyr Sei'lar disappeared from public view; it is possible that she became an instructor at the Bothan Military Academy under an assumed name.

Inyri Forge stayed in Rogue Squadron, serving as Gavin's XO in the early stage of the Yuuzhan Vong invasion. By 43 ABY, she seems to have been retired from the military.

Pash Cracken resumed command of his A-wing group, and turned down promotions to remain a starfighter pilot; promoted to brevet General during the Yuuzhan Vong invasion, he served in Wedge Antilles' fleet as a task force commander; taken prisoner as POW, he escaped and ended up organizing guerillas against the enemy occupation of Coruscant.

Does that answer your question? :D

Off the top of my head...

The Fab Four all went their own ways so to speak.

Wedge: Served in the Alliance military as a high-ranking General through the end of the Vong war. Retired to be with his family but was pulled out of that during the Second Galactic Civil War to serve Corellia. Switched allegiances to the Jedi during the war and served as Rakehell Leader. Once the war ended, he retired once again. Last seen on Kessel helping Lando deal with a threat to his mining operation. During this stretch of time he became the father of two girls, Syal and Myri. Syal is a member of Starfighter Command and Myri is believed to have followed in her mother's footsteps and may have joined Alliance Intelligence.

Tycho: Named Rogue Leader after Wedge left the squadron. Promoted to Colonel and served with the Alliance through the Second Galactic Civil War. Trained Wedge's daughter Syal in starfighter combat before being dragged into the war. Managed to sneak Syal into Rakehell Squadron to fight alongside her father. He retired after the end of the war and was last seen delivering a eulogy on Coruscant.

Wes: Flew as part of the Tanaab Yellow Aces during the Vong war and assisted in the defense of Borleias. Later was a part of Rakehell Squadron in a mission to destroy Centerpoint Station. He survived, but that was the last he was heard of.

Hobbie: Was part of Rogue Squadron in 18 ABY during the Caamas Document Crisis. Retired shortly after that and wasn't heard from again until 25 ABY when it was revealed he became a spokesman for the Zaltin Bacta Corporation. Last seen in 43 ABY with Wedge to help Lando on Kessel.

    Other Rogues

Corran Horn: Became a member of the New Jedi Order and is a Jedi Master. Had two children with Mirax, a daughter named Jysella and a son named Valin.

Gavin Darklighter: Would become Rogue Leader after Tycho left for military administration. After the end of the Vong war he left Rogue Squadron in the hands of Jaina Solo and joined the Alliance in a larger fleet-wide role. Sometime around 38-40 ABY he became an Admiral during the second Civil War. Sometime after the Hand of Thrawn duology I he married and (I believe) adopted one or more children.

Inyri Forge: Remained with the Rogues for many years, retiring either during or after the Vong war. I'd have to check, but it was possible she was working with Wedge and Hobbie on Kessel during 43 ABY.

Bror Jace: Last mentioned in I, Jedi. No word of him since.

Nawara Ven: Worked for Booster Terrik for a while before resuming his law career on Coruscant. As of 44 ABY he was representing Jedi in cases levied against them by the Alliance.

Rhysati Ynr: Retired shortly before the Thrawn crisis and is still believed to be married to Nawara.

Ooryl Qyrrg: Was last seen present at the wedding of Luke and Mara Jade during 20 ABY.

Pash Cracken: I believe he returned briefly to Rogue Squadron during the Thrawn resurgence. During the Vong war he was taken prisoner twice. The second time he organized a makeshift combat unit comprised of Shamed Ones to fight against the Vong. He survived the war, hasn't been heard from since.

That's all I can remember, though since I'm going from memory I may have gotten some details wrong.

Edit: Or what Thrawn McEwok said :D

Well, actually I meant the characters from the comic books series, as I have just finished the Omnibus' for the series. But, this is useful too, as I have read the book series and didn't know some of that stuff. The Hobbie thing makes sense, since he crashed a LOT in both the books and the comics.

Sadly there isn't a whole lot to say about the pre-reformation Rogues other than Fel. We know he ventured into the unknown regions with Wynssa Starflare and had a number of children (Jagged being the most notable).

As for the others, there hasn't been much off anything said about them since about 4-5 ABY in the timeline.

I wish that someone could write a kind of "Where are they now?" comic for Rogue Squadron. It would be cool, and I would DEFINITELY buy it.

Here are the "comic" Rogues who didn't continue into the novels:

Nrin Valkil married Koyi Komad, and they were still together in 43 ABY, when they served as a pilot and flight controller in a humanitarian mission to Kessel, with several other veterans (Inyri, Wedge and Rhysati also took part, as did Cheriss from Starfighters of Adumar).

Soontir Fel was recruited by Thrawn (this story was written AGES ago by Zahn/Stackpole, but hasn't yet been published :() and subsequently pursued a military career in the Unknown Regions. He was reunited with Syal, and they moved to the Chiss capital of Csilla in around 28 ABY; his son Jag Fel is now High Moff of the Imperial Remnant.

Plourr Ilo presumably became Empress of Eiattu and married Count Rial Pernon, but I don't think there's any canon confirmation yet. [face_not_talking]

Xarcce Huwla isn't mentioned after the comics at all.

Feylis Ardele and Avan Beruss are apparently mentioned in Luke Skywalker and the Shadows of Mindor but I can't tell for sure. I don't think they've been mentioned after that, but Avan's mom and uncle continued to serve in the NR Senate.

Elscol Loro and Sixtus Quin became mercenaries, leading Six's SpecNav team. They fought at Thyferra in The Bacta War, but that's their last appearance in canon... [face_thinking]

Kapp Dendo played a role in the overthrow of the Ciutric hegemony; he became a senior NR General, and commanded the ground forces at Ithor, early in the Yuuzhan Vong invasion.

A "where are they now" comic would be cool, yes. But probably should be written by MAS or Darko. :p

Damnit, I want to know what happened to General Horton Salm. You gotta love an ace Y-wing pilot who saved the Rogues on one or two occasions. :D

Can't answer on Salm (beyond his continuing awesomeness in the Rogue/Wraith novels - Aggressor Wing, Defender Wing, and finally a 72-plane B-wing group aboard the ISD Moonshadow against Delak Krennel)...

Kasan Moor's co-creator Ryan Kauffman says he believes she left the Rogues before Hoth, becoming an advisor to the Alliance High Command; her reappearance in the cockpit at Mon Cal in 10 ABY was a favour to Wedge, and was left unofficial and unrecorded, perhaps subtly suggesting that she'd become the sort of soldier who mostly did unofficial and unrecorded things.

    As to the Wraiths...

Garik "Face" Loran remained in command of Wraith Squadron within Intelligence; during the Yuuzhan Vong invasion, they scouted for hyperspace routes through enemy territory, then became part of Wedge's command Borleias; one of the first scout units to return to occupied Coruscant in 28 ABY, they later participated in the insurrection at the end of the conflict in 30 ABY.

Elaassar Targon remained in the Wraiths under Face until at least 28 ABY.

Voort "Piggy" saBinring remained in the Wraiths under Face until at least 28 ABY, when he transferred to Jaina Solo's squadron to mentor her in her psychological warfare role; it's not clear which squadron he fought out the rest of the Yuuzhan Vong war in.

Kell Tainer and Tyria Sarkin married; Kell remained in the Wraiths until the Yuuzhan Vong invasion, while Tyria became a Jedi Knight, traveling the Galaxy with their Force-sensitive son Doran. Although their lifestyle meant they often remained apart for long periods, they remained happily married. During the Second Civil War, Tyria returned to the cockpit flying starfighters for the Jedi, and subsequently remained part of the Order's cadre of pilots on Coruscant; she was injured in a Mandalorian raid on the Jedi Temple in 43 ABY, but not seriously. By this point, Kell had retired, and had compensated for going bald with a piratical ponytail and mustache.

Shalla Nelprin eventually left Wraith Squadron, but continued to serve in Intelligence until at least 40 ABY. She was able to pull rank on a squadron leader (typically a colonel), so she may have reached the rank of Brigadier.

Myn Donos left the military to hook up with Lara Notsil; evidence suggests that they settled on Corellia, and founded a shuttle company known as Donoslane Excursions, along with Kirney's Ewok co-pilot Kolot.

Hohass "Runt" Ekwesh presumably transferred to Intelligence with the Wraiths, but his subsequent career is unknown.

Dia Passik's subsequent career is unrecorded. Aaron Allston has said unofficially that he thinks she left the Wraiths to fight against slavery on Ryloth.

Exactly. The last time we saw General Salm, he was leading a badass group of B-wings onboard an Star Destroyer awesomely named Moonshadow commanded by a cool Duros flag officer (Admiral Vantai).

Frankly, I wish we could see Aggressor and Defender Wings in the FOTJ or Legacy eras. Afterall, if the Rogues can last over a century, why can't some awesome bomber jockeys?

Or General Edor Crespin, for that matter. I found that Wedge's complaint about accepting a promotion would take him out of the cockpit was a little less credible with those two around.:p

Yep. Wing commander of the Folor Base team, including Blue Squadron. Personally I liked Salm better, but I thought it was a shame Crespin never showed up after Wriath Squadron (Iron Fist cameo notwithstanding).
