Good advice. Darth is totally first name material.

If you want to go all badass, name one of them Thrawn. You absolutely couldn't go wrong with that. Except, inevitably, when your children begin to read the actual novels, the other twin would probably start asking why he wasn't named Thrawn. That's when it's time to break the truth to him that he is the lesser loved of the two.

I guess Xizor would be pretty cool too. Especially if you had two boys -- I can see it now: "Thrawn and Xizor! Time for supper!!!"

But if you're not prepared for the ultimate coolness of having children named "Thrawn" and "Xizor," I'll see if I can come up with a few that haven't been mentioned yet (I apologize in advance if a few are repeats).

    For Girls:
Kirana (has sort of an exotic ring to it)
Kalenda (Belindi's last name. I'm not as much a fan of "Belindi" myself)
Corellia (I'm serious... I think it could pass as a legit name)
Zannah (yeah yeah so she's a Sith Lord, but the name doesn't sound half-bad)
Nomi (kinda like an intentional misspelling of Naomi. Just make sure you don't use Sunrider.)
    Lianna (another good planet name)
Leonia/Tavira (both not bad. "Leonia" even sounds like an intentional variation of "Leon")
Rune (and she'll never suspect she was named after a Neimoidian officer!)

    For Boys:
Cassus (a Fett name - Nice Roman ring to it)
Nahdonnis (Praji's first name - maybe too close to "Adonis," but it sounds cool)
Conan Antonio (the most awesome name ever... and it's G-canon!)
Maximilian (OK I'm on an Imperial Officer streak here... but they have such neat names!)
Davin (everyone else wants "Gavin," but Davin is ten degrees higher on the EU coolness scale)
Alek (but be careful when your son adds an "M" to the beginning)
Jerec (I always thought it sounded like a variation of "Jared")
Rivan (when Revan would be too obvious, but you still want a legit Darth name)

    And, of course,
Cal (in memory of our dearly beloved, deceased Chief)

Other than that, I really like the names Allana, Zekk, and Jacen.

Congratulations! There have already been so many good names suggested already. But I don't remember if Kiara has been mentioned for girl names. I love that name!

QFT. Remember, whatever you name these kids, they're going to have to live with those names for the rest of their lives. While drawing inspiration from your favorite saga isn't inherently a bad idea, it's the kids, for better or for worse, who are going to have to live with the consequences of that decision.

For what's it's worth i too wanted a StarWars name without being obvious. My best friend wen't with "Luke" three montsh beofre my daughter was born.. I/we settled on "Mira" from KOTOR. More for the cool name than the character herself...We added "Belle" to the the name. So "Mirabelle" is her name. I like it. We are southern btw...

The KOTOR games have cool name generators fyi..

I know Tycho is out there by contemporary standards, but it's a real name. Plus I like how it's space-y and old-time-y.

Oddly, i have known a number of people w/ SW names. Though i don't know that all of them are named "for" a SW character, they just happen to have the names of or names like SW characters. Including Zaine, Kade, and Cade, Lando (his folks were SW fans), Laya, Leia (SW fan folks), Luke, Deliah, and i am quite sure there are more. Honestly, most of the pople i have known who were named after a science fiction character grow up to hate sci-fi, resent their name, and are humorless dicks. If you're going to step outside the mold and name your child someting interesting, be sure they don't have that name come back to bite them. mainly, make sure it doesn't rhyme with anything gross. My mother didn't follow this advice. My name is (legally) Lucas. As in Mukus, pukus, dookus etc. I go by Luc these days.

    Ok now, some "real" names.

Brakiss, Gav and Jori, Cray, Balancesheet, Calo, Roan, Marissiah, Zannah, Kuat of Earth, Arkoh, Morrigan, Soontir, Keiran, Gaeriel, Empatojayos...

    Tell you what...

When in doubt, go to Wook!

I mean go to Wook after having attempted to go through first hand sources first. Wook's too jaded for informational purposes, but as a quick reference it's not terrible.

I don't think they'd want to name their kids after characters that are romantically involved. The fact that Star Wars had the Luke/Leia thing makes it weird enough already.

i've always (like.. forever!) wanted my first son to be called ben...
i think this is mainly due to the ben kenobi connection :)

though lost has sadly spoilt this a bit
as they decided to name THEIR character ben LINUS (same pronunciation, different spelling... grrrr i wasnt happy)
so its a good job i wont be having kids for a while! :p give people to forget the lost ben linus :)

congratulations on the twins mate.. best of luck to all of the family :)
    as far as names go...
Luke and Leia! every time :p
or Luke and Han :p with one of them having chewie as their middle name (hey! its not too bad, my nickname for all of secondary school was chewbacca! :) )
2 girls? erm... Leia and Jaina probably

what was han's girl in the han solo trilogy called? i seem to remember her having a nice name!
    zannah is nice also...

i know somebody with the middle name precious..
she hates it, but nobody knows it so it doesnt matter...

Thrawn and Xizor would be amazing names. No one would ever mess with them at school.:)

And btw, I'm pretty sure that I'll have only girls when I become a father, and since I'm planning to name my first one Elizabeth... the second one will be Jaina.

    Sorry JQMara for not anwswering.

No one has seemed to act like they know our kids are named after SW characters.

I just love how they both have the intitals of JAG though. That is so great!
