Also who would actually pick the word rendezvous for the name of the novel anyway? barely anyone can spell rendezvous right in the first place anyway

    That's wonderful.

I've read it. It's one of the best Clone Wars novels.

And such notables as Arthur C. Clarke, Frederik Pohl, Kobo Abe, Georges Simenon, Patrick O'Brian, Daphne du Maurier and Clark Ashton Smith have used Rendezvous in their titles.

This was one of my favorites of the Clone Wars novels. Most people agree that this is the best depiction of Yoda in years. The last few chapters especially stand out in my mind. I actually like Dooku better here than in Stover's ROTS.

This just might be my favorite Star Wars novel. I love the dynamic between Yoda and Dooku. Scout and Whie were fun characters too, Ventress had a good showing, and we even get an appearance by the dynamic duo Obi and Ani in the end.

And 'rendezvous' is a great word. ;)

Rendezvouz was definitely one of the best Clone Wars novels, brilliant depictions of Yoda and Dooku, with great characters like Scout and Whie that I found really interesting. Well written, well plotted, good book.
Rendezvouz is a very good word :p

I've read it and I agree that the characterization and story was good.
It's not perfect, there are a few editing errors toward the end, but this book introduced an entirely new class of ship that has, unfortunately, been sadly neglected ever since.

A terribly underappreciated book. It's the best CW novel and one of the best of the entire EU IMO. It was the first time Yoda had been characterized correctly since '83.

I wouldn't call it underappreciated. It's certainly widely appreciated on the boards. Thing is all of those CW books were kind of taken off the shelves once TCW came along. Pretty much all of them are hard to be found now. Well, maybe it is underappreciated as it's not widely known by those who are not regular EU readers.

I think I agree about it having the best characterization of Yoda in 28 years.

I didn't mean that people don't regard it highly, I just meant that it's rarely praised or mentioned in comparison to other EU works.

While it isn't my favourite EU book of all time, I think Dark Rendezvous was the only book I've read which I was genuinely sad when I'd finished it. What I mean was, regardless of plot, it was so well written, and I enjoyed the characters so much that I was just happy to sit and read it forever. I'll probably echo the comments above, one of the main reasons for enjoying the book so much was the characterization of Yoda. From arguments in the food hall to dark side spectres.

One, Dark Rendezvous is one of the best Star Wars novels of all time, and while I think it's received an above-average amount of acclaim, more would not be unwarranted.

    Two...
There are more unfortunate things about that statement than I can even wrap my head around.

I read this recently, I kept hearing how great it was and had to see for myself.

I don't think I liked it as much as most people here, but it is still definitely one of the better Star Wars books out there.
