Seems like one of his legs was crushed under the treads, and there was massive bleeding (among other things I'd presume)

That sucks for Renner. He's got his P+ show going on, finally got Hawkeye his due last year and probably had an MI return in his future. Obviously his recovery is the most important thing, but at least we can be glad that he was able to make the Hawkeye show before this. Also slightly fortunately, if they decide to bring Clint back any time in the non-immediate future, any lasting limitations of his injury can be worked into the story as yet another injury Clint has sustained from his hero'ing.

But, hopefully there wont be any and he makes a full recovery.

It won't happen, but I'd love to see a meeting between the MCU Jameson and the Tobeyverse Jameson: their reactions to how they hat...deal with their respective universes' Spider-Men.

The Tobeyverse Jameson would probably ask his counterpart, "What happened to your hair?" :p

    ^ That's great to see.

Not to be morbid or anything, but has anyone said how many legs he has now?

I think if he lost a leg he wouldn’t be tweeting and such.

He's in ICU and tweeting. I don't know that anything aside from coma or armlessness is off the table.

Honestly it's unlikely he's actually typing the tweets. Probably a family member helping.

Just revisited Werewolf By Night for the first time since October. This special is a blast. Probably the highlight of Phase Four for me, and one of my favorite MCU installments full stop. I think I'm going to have to go back and read some of the classic WBN stuff.

I'm pretty curious now to see what Giacchino does with his upcoming version of THEM! now, too...

No word on his condition. Glad family are there for him & that he appeared to be in good spirits. Hope he gets good news on his birthday tomorrow.

@bstnsx704 Werewolf By Night & Hawkeye are my favorite phase four MCU things along with that devilish episode of She-Hulk.

On November 1st, Michael G shared a great stunt video from WWBN…

Jeremy posted a photo of himself with the ICU staff and thanked them in his IG stories a few hours ago.

and the Base Chicago wishes Jeremy a happy 52nd birthday today.

I also drew something for Jeremy:

(Yeah, he’s my favorite of the original Avengers)

A dumb and probably subjective question for the masses: Who are the biggest baddies in the Marvel comics? Before the MCU films, I knew next to nothing about them, and I haven't read any. I had long heard of "Doctor Doom", so I can confirm the casual layperson probably knows who that is as much as someone who's never seen an MCU movie knows Spider-Man exists. But there aren't many other Marvel villains who are widely known. "Thanos" was a name I didn't recognize until he showed up in the movies. I had heard people here mention Kang before he showed up, but I wasn't very familiar with his name either.

Which other mega villains are missing? I assume Magneto is on the list somewhere. But besides Doom and Kang (and perhaps Magneto), who else can the MCU develop into the next Thanos-level threat?

I'm guessing Magneto would be the next saga villain, maybe Doom but I get the feeling that the Kang hype is a swerve and by Secret Wars ala the 2015 miniseries, the multiverse goes Ka-blewy in Kang Dynasty and God Doom puts it back together wrongly for Secret Wars

Biggest Marvel villain is a weird one, usually the major heroes each have their main enemy who becomes iconic within the wider Marvel universe (Venom, Red Skull, Apocalypse etc).

Then there are those that are famous from one particular hero or group that ultimately become a bigger threat because of their great power/intellect (Magneto, Doctor Doom, Galactus)

After that, you get supreme cosmic entities like the Phoenix Force, the Living Tribunal & the Celestials. Given the latter have already been established in Eternals, I'd expect they are the next big fight for the Avengers after Secret Wars

Not sure if it’s been discussed here yet but Jeff Sneider says that Adam Driver is in talks to play either Reed Richards or Doctor Doom.

I feel that Driver is exactly the type of person who could deliver Doom’s classic, bombastic and hammy dialogue in an ice cold, “chained” tone - a “cold ham” who can be theatrical, ostentatious, and operatic but without actually chewing the scenery.

We also know he can play an utterly contemptible sonuvagun with no to few virtues (even if some audience members refused to get that story) who’s still oozing Driver’s charisma without the character being charismatic.

Of course, I’ve also been thinking for a while that MCU Doom might cast an illusion of his unscarred, younger self over his armored and scarred form, which would allow the actor (Driver or anyone else) to get their “face time” but also play more honestly and dramatically with the characters pathos and pride.

I don’t want Doom to ever take his mask off, but there’s only one actor who could pull that off.

    Karl Urban.

Annihilus isn't as big as Kang or Thanos but he's in the neighborhood. The trouble is that he's kind of a mix between Thanos and the Kang we're seeing in the MCU: Thanos-level strength with access to cosmic energies through an artifact and often intending to destroy our universe, hails from the Negative Zone (which seems to be what the Quantum Realm is being used as in the MCU) and will always resurrect after you kill him (kinda like how another Kang can show up from the multiverse). So there would have to be some new angle or reinterpretation of the character to distinguish him and his motives.

The Annhilation Wave is one way you could do that (and tie-up a lot of the cosmic pieces being set up in this Phase), but you kind of need to build to that via the Negative Zone and a traditional Annhilus threat first. And detach things like the destruction of the Nova Corps and Drax's story since they've been done in GOTG and Infinity War (off-screen) already.
