Maybe Ahsla as that was her code name. Maybe Filoni woundt be too mutch involved. How involved is he with Young Adventures? High Republic seems like be the one era he might let other creatives play with until you get to Dooku. Filoni would probably begin with Dooku as far as the era.

Yeah joking aside I don't think Filoni would be too involved. He seems to have a very specific time period where he is interested in telling stories.

I like to know what Dave Filoni thinks about the High Republic. There is some connection with High Republic and TCW/Rebels.

I would imagine he's probably not paying a whole lot of attention. It's not the time period he is currently working in and none of his main characters he created has anything to do with the High Republic time period.

...man, imagine being a kid who gets introduced to star wars on this and finds out what happens to Loden later. It is like finding out about those weird Willow sequel novels that killed most of the cast.

And just in general, this gives us a firmer place in the timeline, and that is basically right before the disaster. I doubt that will get any attention, but that means this show will end up a busy year or so if the show goes on a while. (Also, I wonder if we might see older versions of the characters in Phase 3 works? Admittedly they would still be pretty young then....)

Technically not sure if ember should be with them at this point, but no sense thinking too hard about it.

I am kind of surprised how it has been dropped in general. They made it seem like the Togruta-Republic conflict was a big deal, but it only got a few mentions after the one book.

Though star wars, rather surprisingly, not all that big on featuring the ancestors of main characters in their ancient settings. In particular, no Skywalkers older than Shmi from what I can remember, not even as some minor background cameo. Well, except when they are rulers like the Organas, or the Solos of Corellia (and even then Han's relation to the loyal Solos was questionable at best from what I remember).
Secondary characters sometimes get distant ancestors - Cassius Fett and Admiral Dodana from Kotor - but not major ones.

Some random nobody background character being yelled at as "Skywalker!" would have been fun. Just some clumsy shop stockboy or something.

The 5-7 year old crowd has already had a book showing Starlight Beacon's destruction and Burry go missing after fighting a rathtar. Eventually finding out what happens to Loden won't be any worse than TCW kids eventually seeing Order 66.

This show needs Torban "Buckets of Blood" Buck! He would be so fun in this setting.

I have to say, I am impressed with the textures on the characters and animation in this show. It's pretty impressive for this level of series for this age group. LFL clearly put decent money into it.

Fun to see High Republic book characters. Like Bell, Ember, Loden and Maru, and see Starlight Beacon....

Design work is pretty impressive as well. Characters, vehicles, creatures etc.

The stand out to me has to be the environments. I would love to see some of these planets come back in other sources, particularly Tenoo itself.

And...it was quite good, including so far the best starship design for this organization and decent battle droids.

I was only disappointed they didn't have the lighting bolt design rather than Ro's storm symbol. That was welcome, because I felt like all the masked pirates in this series so far had been them dancing around the Nihil. Oddly, when they did use the Nihil they weren't masked!

I remember the first book mentioning that Ro used non-Nihil mercenaries and hired crew for the Gaze Electric because he didn't trust the Nihil before he took over, and this should be before then, so maybe these are guys personally loyal to Ro and not part of the Nihil proper at this time.

This new batch of episodes was fun. Interesting to see the Nihil appear and not be called as such, but a fun easter egg for HR readers, same with hearing that one kid raving about "Master Kriss". Also kinda lol that we've finally gotten a serious depiction of Life Day since the Holiday Special. No singing this time though. :p

Watched it. It’s fun. There’s a whole toy collection too for kids.

and it looks like you may be able to meet Nubs at Disney soon.

More Young Jedi Adventures episodes are incoming. From starwars.com:

The upcoming installments will see the gang journey through the wilds of Tenoo for a wilderness training exercise, travel to Batuu to meet the Jedi stationed on Black Spire Outpost, and return to the Starlight Beacon — a key location in Star Wars: The High Republic comics and novels — where they will encounter several characters from other High Republic tales, including Bell Zettifar (Marcus Scribner), Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic Lina Soh (Justine Lee), Master Maru (Liam O'Brien), and more.

That image bears no small resemblance to the Starlight Beacon dedication ceremony we saw in Light of the Jedi and the Marvel comic, offering a hint at the additional familiar faces from the Phase I character roster who may put in an appearance. The visit to Batuu suggests we may be seeing Ady Sun'Zee from the Tales from the Galaxy's Edge VR game as well.

Huh. I am surprised they are moving that far up in the timeline, cause after that it is hard to ignore the conflicts with the Nihil, Drengir, and to a lesser degree the Hutts, and this show and its villains have generally been a lot more light hearted than that.
