The people I like the most?

I don't know any of them.

Seriously. What you see these people portrayed as is not always the truth. Never met any of the above.

Of those I have met: (no real order)

    - Ian Mckellen: coolest guy in the world.
    - Billy Boyd: comes close
    - Ian McDiarmid: Scary, but great. he takes no crap.
    - John Rhys Davies: very talkative.
    - Anthony Daniels: ditto
    - Nicole Kidman: no comment. *drool*
    - Ewan McGregor: ****ing genius
    - Daniel Radcliffe: I'm not a fan of HP, in fact, I've never read the books, but I live next to Leicester Square and met him at the premiere. Probably the most nervous actor kid I've ever seen, he seemed as if he was about to have a heart attack!

Person I have met and literally despise: Will Smith. Probably the best example of what I said earlier: not anywahere near as cool in real life as what he pretends to be.

otherwise, Spielberg "seems" like a nice guy, but as I said, you never can tell.

1.Dave Matthews--perfection in a man has been realized.
2.Ewan McGregor--I think he'd make the perfect drinking buddy. And he's pretty easy on the eyes. You think we got enough drinks in him, he might do some kareoke for us?
    3. Conan OBrien--funny, funny, funny.
    4. Carrie Fisher--see above.
    5. Derek Jeter

Hmm...I left Harrison Ford off the list. Even though I think he was the hottest thing on two legs, I'm not sure I'd like him in person. I dunno though. However, if it were possible to stick *Han Solo* on the list....

It's called an opinion, Sidious. That's why.

I love Apolo Anton Ohno. And that's about it right now. :)

I may not agree with his political/social views, but I liked the way he handled the 9/11 crisis.

I also like the fact that he doesn't drink alcohol, but that's just a personal aside.

How he handled the 9/11 crisis:

    - Hid for a few days afterwards while his staff handled the situation.

    - Proceeded to drop more bombs than any other president since Vietnam

    - Increased an already exhorbitant military budget

Good Job (these are strictly my opinions, but they are also the facts)

Well, despite what Sidious says, I feel the opinion about George Bush handling the crisis is valid. Even though Sidious wants to shoot it down with all of his effort.

And hey, who wouldn't hide when someone wants to crash an airplane into you?

EDIT: I also like the beautiful statement that fails to make much sense: these are strictly my opinions, but they are also the facts. If they are strictly your opinions, how can they also be facts?

    Did anybody else hide? No.

    Colin Powell didn't hide.

And since when is laying down the facts and sharing MY opinion "trying to shoot it down with all his might"

One walks a thin line when they offer subjective facts. Fighting over a messageboard is probably one of the most pathetic online practices, so I will decline further comment.

They are not subjective facts, since he DID drop more bombs than anybody else since vietnam, he DID increase the military budget and he DIDN'T do anything in the first week (Bill Clinton visited Ground Zero before he did).

All I'm saying is the situation with Bush right now is worrying. Every time there is a war, the US public totally forgets all common sense and rallies heroically around their Pres and allow him to do absolutely anything he wants. His address to Congress the other day where he set out his plans for the year really scared me. He says: More money for the army! Everybody cheers. More money for my mates in the petrol industry! Everybody cheers. Lets drill in Alaska! Everybody cheers...and so on.

You see if you say, I disagree! You're seen as unpatriotic and pro-terrorist.

right, this is enough, as you said, fighting over a messageboard is silly, but I just wanted to share what I, along with many other people I've spoken to on this side of the Atlantic, think.
