What if this short explains that Grogu’s trauma is a result of his mother’s absolute contempt for him, with her comparing his value to society as worth less than a dust bunny?

 

As long as she keeps the cereal pantry stocked, it's fine.

I'm picturing Grogu entertaining himself, and possibly Din as well, by acting as puppeteer, shaping dust bunnies into various beings using the Force, and moving them about. It could be a way for Grogu to tell a story to Din about his past.

I'd never heard the term dust bunnies til I joined the military. Didn't realize it was so widely used.

Now I'm curious to see what they look like in the SW universe.

This thread is the best. I enjoyed almost all responses. The Wikipedia entry informed me that lots of languages have different names for this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dust_bunny which is quite interesting. Now I think that the new Disney short will show Grogu on Tatooine cleaning his room with the Force after Din Djarin gave him a hard time. Or, even better, the Lepi will become officially canon and make an appearance in live action, and Grogu will meet Jaxxon and essentially turn his entire family to dust after the Lepi stole his frogs.
