Seconded. His was an archetype in service to a larger, specific myth-piece that had a beginning and an end; his arc had a beginning and an end. But now everyone wants these heroes to be re-materialized as long-form "developed" characters. Less is no longer more—archetypes are now brands. This could prove a satisfying installment for its continued world-building and FX escapades, but I doubt I'll be taking much away from a Han Solo backstory that merely explicates that which already works so well in the OT's brushstroke form.

UGH. Halftime show was terrible, why on earth they went with JT I've no clue. He wasn't even singing! Should've brought back anyone else who's done one the past few years - Gaga, Bruno, Beyonce, Katy - and it would've been FUN and they all put on great performances.

Agree with you DA; the beginning of the first one was okay but halfway through I was like ugh, just be over already.

The second one you should give a try EJC; it really was that good! Though you don't like scary movies so maybe not, it isn't too bad though compared to other films. Made me fear John Goodman when before I've associated nice feelings with him because of Sully & Monsters Inc.

Yes, the original Disney SB is a real fave of mine from childhood (haven't seen the new Maleficent)

 

If they were to make an anthology film set in the PT who would you want it to be about? I personally think a movie or trilogy about Qui Gon and Dooku would be sweet.

I may not as well. Didn't think much of the trailer* and I'm still Harrison Fangirl-butthurt over Anthony Ingruber not getting the role

*Edit: though that may be a faulty indicator...I wasn't that excited by the RO trailer, but it turned out to be my fave of the Disney era so far...
