    Given that they won't have books to copy the plot from, I'm quite confident that these SW films will suck from the outset.

    Does Star Wars require high-quality writing?
    It's not really ever been great in that department.

    The last season of GoT had some great stuff in it, but it also has the most obvious issues with pacing & continuity.
    Although that may have been more to do with the fact they cut down the number of episodes & so had to resolve plot points faster.

    So, are the A Star Wars Story films being shooed away, or are D&B taking over those now? If so, are they going to MCU style separate movies coming together down the road? Why do all the alternatives sound terrible?

    Look at the Battle of Winterfell & last season's Dothraki Vs Lannisters. There are few better choreographed & well filmed sequences in movies let alone on TV.
    Depending on which sources you believe.
    Ronald D Moore was involved & apparently said it was only about 50.

    This is what passes for news these days. The films will be taking place at a specific time. I eagerly await the news about whether or not they'll be happening at some sort of place.
