Hey gang, Meri from SWNYC here If you guys haven't already arranged for IMAX involvement, please contact me via PM with a main contact from your group and we can pass on some information that was given to us. Basically what happened is the manager of the Providence IMAX theatre called up the manager of the Nyack IMAX theatre asking for opening weekend assistance. The manager of Nyack in turn referred them to our President for help.

Providence would like costumed FanForce representation. This would be a great first event for you guys!!

 

i just got the recorded message at the IMAX, confirming a costume contest and prizes at midnight on oct 31. i'd like to do it, and still keep the first meet as the 8th. if anyone else wants to come that's cool. this might also be a good time to hand out a little something inviting people to join this fanforce.

 

I'm all for going on the thirty-first...

 

I'm not the dressing up kind of guy.

Just not my thing.

But, you guys have fun. Maybe you can get three to go and make it an official meeting. Then we'll have two meetings in a week. We'll be well on our way to official status.

It's a meeting of three members from the group. We should just go shopping at the mall every week. We'd be the most active FanForce ever.

 

as long as you get it posted on the main page, I believe it counts.(Could be wrong,I'd ask Rox or Strawbary to make sure tho)Other FanForces have become official in under a months time.

 

We could also all live in a house and post everything that we do. Maybe even get some webcams.

It could be a FanForce reality show.

if you're in the area, the costume chamber in portsmouth has great rental costumes, both star wars and other wise. i went as amidala last year, came out beeeeeyootiful.

This is going to be the first big SW related thing that I am participating in...

 

as long as you guys have 3 meetings with 3 people in attendence your official! Many chapters have been official in a short period of time.

You can shedule them as close together as you want. I will post them for you when you figure out the dates.

Hello Providence,

I noticed most of you are planning on being at the IMAX theater on the 8th but the New England Garrison of the 501st Legion is planning on having a handful of members present in Rhode Island on Saturday, November 2nd. We'll have 5 or so of our members in full costume helping the theater out with its promotion of the film. We will be helping out with passing out the Bantha Tracks limited edition newsletter sent from Lucasfilm themselves as well as posing for pictures with the fans. If your helping out with this promotion it'll be great to see you there!

For our REALLY big IMAX event, come up to Boston on Friday, November 1st where we'll have between 12 and 20 members in full costume.

thanks bob i unfortunately (well not so unfortunately) am going to be seeing les miserables on the 2nd seeing as they decided to stop showing it after this year. *pouts*

but it should be fun to have some imperial forces at provdience place. my sister works there, i'll tell her to keep her eyes peeled for stormtroopers

That flyer is good, but it looks off-center.

yes it is offcenter, i'll explain why. i'm placing 4 on one page, and in order to fit them all within the printable area i had to push them towards the center. hence when i show 1/4 of the whole page (1 flyer) it looks off center. but i can trim them after if it is an eyesore.
