...if the issue was about Revan single handedly cutting down thousands of Mandos with his lightsaber without breaking a sweat...

I would like to see that!:)=P~:p

KOTOR comic is starting to feel more and more like a (good) prequel to the games... Getting to see Carth now in these issues is like seeing Obi-wan in TPM...:)

Great preview. Looks like a great battle is on the way. And may I say again that it's about DAMN time the fleet battles have finally re-entered Star Wars comics.

I remember when it used to be the old, "Oh it can't be done. Fleet Battles take up to much space. We want to write full character blown stories. That's what fans want." Two years ago you'd have to beg and plead with STRAD or JEREMIAH to include a fleet battle. You could give them every reason in the world why it could work without hurting the character story and you'd still get the same crap. Not to mention you would never see a massive fleet assembled like the KOTOR comics did it. If the Clone War comics would have had the kind of treatment it might have actually been a good war to read about.Instead we got excuses for why fleets for small and the such. Which in the end lost the large scale feeling that I feel most people wanted from the Clone War and didn't get.

I'm glad that ship has finally sailed. KOTOR, Rebellion, and Legacy(at least somewhat) have included Major full force fleet battles in their comics. I believe before my banning, I praised such things, and I got the old, "Oh, we've started including fleet battles because the storyline requires one." Well whatever the bloody reason, i'm glad to see that finally DARK HORSE has included one of the many great aspects of STar Wars into their comics once again.

Would we even be able to tell if Revan's breaking a sweat? They can't show his face...or his skin really...would we figure it out by the lack of pit-stains on his robes?

In all honesty, I'm probably not qualified to say that since I've not read the arc after Flashpoint, and all that had was Saul Karath, which I actually quite liked.

Not coming out this week. Too bad, cause Carth has made this comic all kinds of cool with just one appearance.

A Carth spin off would be cool. His own arc or something. Presumably he won't be hanging around Zayne the whole time, so it would be nice to continue to read about what he was upto with the Republic before KotOR 1. Would give the opportunity to write some nice fleet battles too...

Still i suppose he isn't a 'Knight of the Old Republic' as such though heh.

Totally agree with you DarthNuke0. Though I must say comics can't represent a space battle the same way a game could (let's pray that after uber-story-mess up "The Force Unleashed" we'd get a new "TIE Fighter"), but KotOR seems to handle them pretty well.
Oh, well, poor republicans, they're about to get smacked... :D

I definately agree. It would be nice to see what is happening to him every once in a while. Hell, if any of the other KOTOR characters cross paths (or almost cross paths like both are part of the same major event) it would be nice to see things from their perspective for maybe an issue or two. Don't devote the entire series to these kinds of issues, but a one shot or two-shot (is that even a term?) couldn't hurt. Especially if the series needs a filler or something.

Something like the not-technically-part-of-the-series-but-really-they-are Jedi double-issues during Republic's Clone Wars run would be awesome. Just a Carth one-shot, an Atton one-shot, a Bastila one-shot, a Malak one-shot, a Canderous one-shot, a Bao-Dur one-shot, even something random like a Yusanis one-shot would be awesome. Tie them in to the main storyline a little and throw them into the TPBs like was done with the Jedi pseudo-series and it would be gold.

Dark Horse would never go for that ****. Believe me I've tried. Dark Horse sees these characters as un-sellable. I made a big deal about it before. And still got the same **** in a different tune.

"Oh,the causal fan base doesn't know who they are. They won't sell. We want to tell stories dealing with our own characters."

Strad or Jeremiah had the nerve to actually try to turn things around on me, telling me, "That(the statement above) was how they looked at it for the Empire and Republic series."

Which doesn't make one bit of difference now as it did then. What they don't seem to realise is that an un-known EU character from another source to the causal fans, is the same as a NEW character they create like Zayne or Cade. They take the same amount of risk with a new character as they do with and old EU character. But they don't seem to get that. Tis why you'll never see these character ger there own story. I go by on thing, if it has Star Wars on it, someone is going to buy it regardless. Whether it be a causal fan or a hardcore fan.

Dark Horse doesn't care much for the fans when it comes to this stuff. They want to do their own thing so they do.

Now what they might be trying to do(and I just thought of this) is introduce these game EU characters one at a time. Then they might have a story centered on them down the road. Which you don't really have to do regardless, and which I doubt they'll do anyway.

So what is the spoiler policy? A couple weeks ago it was sort of decided that the no-spoilers policy for this board doesn't really work for comics, but has there been any official decision?

    Also, somebody sticky this.

Spoiler policy for comics is pretty lax, usually about a week, or however long the thread is stickied, since comics come out much more often than novels do. Even then, we usually allow blacked-out spoilers from the comic to be posted elsewhere. Unless there's a major spoiler (like, say, who Krayt really is or if [insert character] turns out to be the Exile), in which case we'll try to be more proactive.

This former no-name-background-looser better kick some serious @$$ in this comic.

Seeing is he has metamorphosized into an enemy almost fractionally worthy to contend with Kyle Katarn.

Damn right. It's about time for the Mandalore that in time earned the name Ultimate gets some serious ass kicking time. He also needs more character, other than, "HEY,I'm the bad guy."

After reading this issue, it's clear to me that Squint is Malak. Although he's in only one frame, his cleanly shaven head, standing next to the Hooded Jedi all but answers that he's Malak. Plus the fact that the mystery of his real name is big in this issue. But if you're looking for a big space battle, you'll be dissapointed.

Basically, Zayne Carrick attempts to warn the Admiral about the attack but gets outed as the Padawan Slayer. They ignore his advice and the Mandalorians proceed to nuke the crap out of the planet. Zayne is horrified but in order to save face....I think, Admiral Dumbass then has Zayne thrown in the brig to be be turned over to the Jedi. Carth then tells Zayne in the brig that he warned 17 cities to evacuate to their shelters before the nuclear attack

But yes, its going to be interesting to see how the Conspiracy in the Jedi react to the fact Zayne took out a Mandalorian base in the last story arc then saved millions here.

Mmm, could you elaborate a bit on this? The Hooded Jedi is supposed to be Revan? And what's this about a mystery, if I may ask?
