I so don't understand (or care to, for that matter) the reference, so whatev.

Edit: Ezon Pin, I detect satire in your post, so well played.

Leaving a jar of "grandma's peach tea" at an event is something MTV's B&B would do. Not a classic comic book baddie. Can anyone see, say Dr. Doom doing this? I can't.

No Wock, because I seriously give almost zero **** about your country's politics. The almost comes from the fact that your countrymen may elect one of the worst people imaginable for the highest seat in the land and, frankly, the rest of the world has reason to worry about the **** he'd pull.

Doom would have killed her when they first met. Lex, though, would. Even the comic Lex since that's the kind of rotten bastard that he is.

it's just AOTC and ROTS I dislike.

    Thats a new one.

Then again, AOTC is my favorite SW movie while ESB and ROTS towards the bottom.

Question for all: Was the chemistry between Affleck and Irons comparable to that of Keaton/Gough and Bale/Caine? I'm not watching BvS, but would like to hear input as to what I'm in for when the standalone Batman is released.

It was very good. The dialogue was very natural, although Irons played a more sarcastic and assertive Alfred - also more of an equal to Bruce, as opposed to a fatherly figure. I don't know if the chemistry is quite as good as Bale and Caine's - yet - but it's very good.

Their chemistry was one of the few bright spots.

Plus this was the best and closest Alfred yet.

Presenting renting Batman v. Superman. So I like Affleck as Bruce / Batman, probably more than any other actor who has donned the suit. And I love how they borrowed one of my favorite things from Charlie Huston's last issue of Moon Knight, branding the villains with his throwing "star".

Brings up some interesting questions about meta humans...and the Flashpoint business (completely with Nazi-helmeted followers of Superman) was one of the most WTF things I've seen in any of these movies.

    I liked Wonder Woman.

Lex = supremely annoying as hell.

A bit more dark than it should be, hopefully the Justice League will set things right. Certainly not as terrible as many have said, but perhaps since I come a more Marvel indoctrinated mindset, I can see it that way.

DC is taking a lot of risks. Not all of them work, but I appreciate that they are.

I love the Nolan Batman movies, I even loved the third one even though NYC and Pittsburg were stand ins for Gotham, It only took me out of the story a little bit. But what these movies did right was make The Batman series seem less Comic Book and Cartoony and Campy and made it seem more relatable, more real! Some times It seemed Like a Drama that would be up for best Picture and have a real shot at winning!

New York City is actually called Gotham. So it isn't a stand-in. Just like Chicago was used for Gotham in the earlier Nolan films.

    Well, sort of.

In the story, Superman landed not on Earth, but on Apokolips. Given you see Darkseid's Omega symbol burned into the ground during the Knightmare scene and parademons, I took it to be on the assumption that Superman in this vision had become a key general in Darkseid's forces.

More like the series finale of "Superman: The Animated Series". I think that's what the plan is going to be is that we'll have
Steppenwolf, but we'll also have Superman as a threat. Resurrected by him and Darkseid to use against the JLA.

    The digital copy does not.

There are blu-ray versions that do, yes.
