Mikja Menel had done it again. The redhead that had been sitting on the couch in the cottage of her brother Hedo and his family was a doing nothing person. She had told him that she preferably and utterly liked to remain single. She had asked him to leave immediately. The flowers he had brought were given to the grand scheming and coupling wife of Hedo. And that woman was now brandishing a knife and very angry at Mikja.
“You know Dajara. I didn’t feel a bond. I will remain single.” With that said Mikja disarmed the woman. She smiled.

The second challenge

From the first evening he had sensed her thoughts Halfir Majeski had fallen in love with the nurse caring for him, Jesin and Steve. Mikja had thought that he was one of those sitting on the couch and doing nothing guys. But he had told her what she thought and had asked for her name. ‘Mikja’ had him falling in love.

For Mikja it had taken weeks before she accepted that the feeling in her mind was mutual. Two Dunai elder were becoming bonded in mind.

A visit to the husan farm of Aidan Keranan had followed because Halfir needed therapy. Meeting Myrana had him bonding with the husan mare to the delight of Mikja and her mare Kyrana.

Halfir and Mikja rode their husans on the beach on the day of marriage.

Vows were spoken and a ring was given by best man Jesin.

Halfir had slipped the ring on Mikja’s finger when a falgan jumped up in the waves.

The falgan had Mikja smiling. She wanted to be with Halfir on the ocean for their honeymoon trip.

It was arranged by Jesin and Steve.

A boat – filled with a basket with food and drinks – had been waiting in the harbour.

Halfir was smiling when he guided the boat towards the setting sun.
Mikja was beside him, munching on a sandwich.
He felt the cool breeze through his hair and reached for a warm blanket when he sensed what his wife needed.
Mikja accepted the blanket and kissed him.

 

SQUEEEEEEE! Oh how delightful Mikja wasn't expecting that I'll bet. Soul-bonds are beautiful, fantabulous things
