Agreed. At least the Resistance transport is inspired by the B-wing, actually made from parts of a B-wing Mk. II. I'm hoping for more TIE designs, but I'm most interested in seeing New Republic/Resistance capital ships.

The B-Wing is one design that would really benefit from CGI, since the reason it had so little screentime in ROTJ was because the model was a pain to work with.

There have been some really weird spoilers floating around the internet forums today. I'm suspecting someone on Reddit started them and I'm pretty sure they're bogus. But if anyone's bored...

The story goes that Ep8 is taking a page from KOTOR, where Rey is Reven and Kylo is Malak. Rey never grew up on Jakku. She was taken there in secret as an exile by her mother and her mind was wiped because she rebelled with Kylo. Oh and Luke is her dad and doesn't want to train her because she's Revan and he's played TOR and knows how that ends he doesn't trust her.

I don't think this is true because 1) Kylo would have remembered her better in that case, and 2) those were an awful lot of tick marks she had drawn on that one wall.

 

Like for your comment. Kylo and Snoke would know, Leia and Han too.

Wow, Luke mindwiped his own daughter? Also, if Rey rebelled with Kylo she must have been only 13 or so when this happened.

I sort of think Kylo would have at least mentioned this to Rey if this were the case: "The Jedi mindwiped you! I'm really on your side!", etc.

I think Disney wants the whole 'a new Chosen One is born when the galaxy is in danger. Cause then they could keep making Star Wars films FOREVERRRRRRRRRRRRRR

 

Interesting set photos... (also I feel a twinge of sadness every time I see the Millennium Falcon and automatically think, "I wonder what Han and Chewie are getting up to in this episode? ...wait.")

Awww, the Dagobah dark side tree grew up and moved to Ahch-to. I bet Luke is pleased about that.

LUKE: "Ah, finally, solitude... OH WHAT THE HELL?!"
DARK SIDE TREE: "Haw, haw. How's it doing buddy?!"
LUKE: "What are you doing here?"
DARK SIDE TREE: "Don't worry, my bark is worse than my bite."

That kinda reminds me of a blend of the Coruscant and Tython temples. But it also seems way more modern looking than the old Christian monastery vibe they had in TFA. /shrug
