    Guess ya missunderstood me...

A Null-ARC is in soem way "superior" to an usual ARC, so why an ARC when we have already a Null-ARC?

Now, chaps, I specifically said on the GGAR thread that there's no superiority among clones - they're each best fitted for the role they do, that's all. Horses for courses. Nulls aren't superior to ARCs, even though they're dear to me as OCs. They're just different.

    * pats distressed ARC trooper on head in reassurance *

Well, I didn't mean it that way.

Not that they are superior, but that they are "cooler"... for myself, this is some way of "superior", lol :p

You realise you made this poor ARC cry, don't you?

    * there there, lad *

They might look all roughy-toughy, but they're really very insecure underneath.

Seriously, I was just laying down a defence in case someone accused me of glorifying my OCs at the expense of established characters. (I have seen this accusation levelled at other scribes, you see...) I'm not trying to outdo the ARCs. I just wanted to show some of the side-issues in Kaminoan cloning, i.e. that stuff didn't always turn out as they expected and that there were consequences of that.

Alpha can blow up your favorite city in fifteen seconds while wearing a skirt. Gotta give the man some credit.

Or Sev will kneecap you. Quite possibly both. And the ARC in my avatar will...erm, smack around with a large chunk of killy metal to say the least...

Oops... though this was the ARC thread. Oh well. :p

    From Hasbro.
Brutally efficient and unceasingly loyal to the Emperor, the clone troopers aid in Palpatine?s creation of the first Galactic Empire. This Covert Ops Clone Trooper is ready to serve the Emperor?s need for stealth and infiltration. With exclusive detailing and high articulation, this is one figure you won?t want to miss. Get your limited-quantity Covert Ops Clone Trooper figure at www.StarWarsShop.com while supplies last!

But anyhow... it seems like the Covert Ops clones were part of the early Empire's commando squads, with a mission similar to the later Storm Commandos.

Could it be that Palpy phased out Republic Commandos? :(

Hi folks. Just a note to let you know that I'm taking an indefinite break from these boards. If you need to find me, you know where I am - links on my sig file. Drop by some time - you'll be very welcome. (Or on TOS/ starwars.com blogs, of course.)

Have a good one. Re'turcye mhi!

Alas, he won't be able to answer them. Not on this book, so please don't put him on the spot and ask him about things I should be answering. He can't do it.

    Bye.
