The author of The Art of Solo: A Star Wars Story shared a few pieces of concept art on his Twitter. I'm posting them here because of that mop of hair on Lando :lando: :p

That concept Lando looks like Billy Dee and Don Glover had a baby.

I shall call him Billy Don.

    Seriously, though, I love it.

It DOES look like Michael B. Jordan. It's interesting to see when the different actors were locked in. Also: incredible that they totally nailed a costume design so early in the process that it seems to have made it into the film virtually unchanged. The designer here sounds like a real champ, from the interview with Newton.

Yeah, it looks a lot like him. The nose and lips, especially.

I really don't know. In TCW, it seemed organic. Here, not at all.

It looks like an unfinished practical costume that's going to be finished with CGI.

"This particular film has been the most costumes we've ever produced for a Star Wars film..."

Pre or post-Lucas? Because if that includes Pre, that sounds like a challenge to get George out of retirement.

As we near Solo review cycle, I think now would be a good time as any to go into discussion mode about all the Review sites out there, and I'll start with putting this hilarious breakdown of IMBD and Rotten Tomatoes (Though mostly IMBD in this case) but Star Wars podcaster/comedian/Interview guy Steele Saunders.

I'll put a spoiler tag just in case.

I'm not liking the live-action Pykes :( This guy looks more like Grievous... Why couldn't they have just done a CGI "realistic" rendition of the cartoon? The Pykes are one of those creatures that needed to be done by CGI, and this looks like just a costume, unless I'm wrong and it's not a costume.

It makes me appreciate how far the envelope was pushed way back in 1999 with Watto and, yes, even the Gungans. 20 years on, we should have CGI creatures even more realistic than those, and the Pykes should have been leading the way.

It was my dream to see a Pyke in live action. But now i'm not sure...
Quay has way too small skull, short neck, five fingers instead of three. He's loking way too human. (maybe he's actually a humanlike creature wearing an armor).
    CGI could definitely help here.

This is what happens when a loud portion of the fandom spends two decades complaining about "Star Wars turning into a cartoon".

I agree. I personally was fine with the prequels and didn't understand the mainstream dislike of them.
