So we used to do these goofy threads for TCW and Rebels. And I feel like seeing as Ahsoka is a direct sequel to Rebels. This dumb tradition should only be brought back.

To be honest I liked this better, Over the top green magic mist all over the place in TCW was borderline ridiculous IMO. Magic should be kept mystical and used sparingly...

 

24) Lothal is a free society again after the fall of the Empire. Failure to attend a public ceremony to honor your comrade now merely gets you a warrant for your arrest.

 

25) Jai Kell is now a senator of Lothal

 

26) At least one general in the New Republic is completely unaware that zillions of ex-Imperials now work for the New Republic.

 

Your totally right. Shouldn’t this be common knowledge to everyone and just make sense?

literally billions perhaps trillions of beings worked for the empire in one way or another and Hera is surprised by this information?

I know it’s used all to often by take Germany after the war. Even there the Allies wanted to originally ban nazi party members from doing anything near important, but they eventually realized literal millions of people were Nazi party members and this was not feasible. The new republic realized the same thing.

 

My guess is that the writers felt like they needed to have that info in there in order to convey it to the audience and not so much to the characters. That dude might as well have looked directly into the camera and said, "hey viewers at home, just an FYI, there's a bunch of ex-Imps working for the New Republic. You'll need to know this to understand what's about to happen in the next scene."
