Aaron rocks! After the depressing finale of Grey's Anatomy I was glad I didn't have to watch another character I liked die on 24 this season (fingers crossed).

I knew Martha would come through! Looks like she might team up with Mike and Aaron to stick it to the man[face_dancing]

..eh, it was a pretty blaise ep, once again.

I dunno. I sometimes wonder if my buddy and i are watching the same season as the rest of the world. Everything is just so gosh-darned by the numbers, right now. I can't believe that we're already at the season finale! It feels like absolutely nothing of significance has happened since the gas-attack at CTU.

The only reason i keep watching is because Robocop is becoming a very intriguing character (was he REALLY still holding up his end of the deal with Jack, or was he gonna try to pull a fast one on them?)

What's the fun in having a season finale without the two characters with the narrowing conflict duke it out?

I'm still anxious to see what Heller has planned.

Aaron's scene with Logan was fantastic. "Charles."

It does kinda feel like this season ran out of some steam the last couple episodes (they probably would have been better off dropping the airplane plotline), especially with Bierko escaping (would have been better if they had someone else fill the role of "final villian"), but I must admit, the taking-over-a-sub angle is pretty good.

GO AARON, GO AARON!!! That, and Martha shooting the Secret Service Agent were priceless. I actually let loose a "WAY TO GO MR'S. LOGAN!" And Aaron saying "Charles" was priceless. I have to say that there is something interesting about the tarmac scene in the coming attraction bit.

Yea, it is kind of strange seeing Bierko back in the mix after he was gone for so long and the focus shifted to Logan and Henderson. With that said, though, I am glad that he's back, if only because it seemed like he was completely forgotten about and at least it looks like Jack will almost certainly be getting Bierko's head on a plate before the day is done.

Oh man, I loved this weeks episode!!!

Funny thing is, I was eating popcorn while watching and when the camera panned into where Aaron Pierece was with Logan, I literally almost choked on my popcorn and almost dropped it. I was horrified! (;))I loved Aaron's "Charles" as his loyalty to the President is no more after what he had done.

I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE SEASON FINALE!!! I'm so sad it's coming to a close, but glad at the same time as it's a 2 hour show! :)

    Episode 23 Summary

IN THE SUBMARINE, Bierko and his men flush out the nerve gas in the submarine and begin to upload the targets for Bierko?s missile strike.

AT CTU, it?s up to Jack and Henderson to avert the crisis.

IN THE SUBMARINE, Rooney lived through the nerve gas attack. Jack tells Rooney that he needs to unlock a hatch to let Jack and Henderson in. Rooney needs to kill the guard at the entry point. Jack coaches him on how to kill quickly and quietly.

Henderson asks Jack for a gun, Jack reluctantly agrees.

PORT OF LOS ANGELES, Jack and Henderson sneak in through the open hatch. There?s a big shootout. Henderson makes his way towards the missile area. Jack goes on to look for Bierko, he finds him and gets him in a headlock and he breaks his neck.

The missiles are just about ready to launch but Henderson disables all of them. Henderson then makes a run for it out of the sub. Jack chases him.

ON TOP OF THE SUBMARINE, Henderson sneaks up on Jack and he has him at gunpoint with the gun that Jack gave him.

Henderson pulls the trigger but nothing happens. Jack gave him an empty clip.

Jack fires his gun. Henderson is dead.

BACK AT THE PORT OF LOS ANGELES, LAPD shows up. Jack gets in one of the cop cars and heads for Logan?s retreat. Jack tells Chloe he needs a specific bug device. Chloe knows someone who knows how to use it, her ex-husband Wilson.

AT THE RETREAT, Logan speaks with Graham and tells him that Henderson and Bierko are dead and he says that Jack will be taken care of. Logan is going to make a speech over Palmer?s casket before its flown back to Washington to lie in state.

Martha speaks with Novick, shows him Aaron Pierce, and tells Mike everything.

Jack calls and tells them he is coming for Logan, he needs their help to get Logan alone. Novick asks how far is Jack willing to go. Jack replies As far as I have to.

Heh, just watched the 24 inside interview with James Morrison. Geez, can the guy mumble/whisper any quieter ?? Not only that, but the actual interview was only about two minutes long, pretty much a complete waste of time.

I loved that finale. I was so yelling at the screen for Jack to just shoot Logan!!! But, alas it didn't happen. I was almost in tears when they brought the casket out and saluted Palmer. I was wondering, why wasn't Wayne there? I don't even remember the last time I saw him.

I was really surprised when the Chinese finally came. I was really surprised about that. I'm also interested in what Fox News said about New York possibly being the next place for next season, though i'm still interested in seeing what the chinese are going to do to Jack.

    I CAN'T WAIT FOR JANUARY 2007!!!

Personally Id love it if the show relocated to New York next season. Not only would it be a shot in the arm location-wise but now would be the perfect time for it since the show is obviously in a transitional phase. Whether we get NY or not, though, it looks like Jack will be relocating either way, so Im definitely into that.

Anyway, great finale, from beginning to end, and the perfect capper to a great - if incredibly dark - season. At this point Im not sure if Id rank this season as the best just yet; I need a little more time to process it before it takes over S4's spot in my personal hierarchy. But its definitely up there among the best to date because the action never stopped from the opening minutes of the first episode, and what seemed to be a pretty straightforward plot took a number of intriguing and shocking turns along the way. Not only that, but the producers and writers had the balls to totally flip the world of 24 on its face, and for that alone they should be credited with giving us a great season (as should be the actors, who were amazing in what was easily the darkest and most emotionally personal season to date).

Wow I just loved the finale. It figures that it would be good. This season was stellar from start to finish. Yes there were a few minor missteps. Jack just putting his hood up and walking onto the plane comes to mind. But I loved how they got Logan. And I love that the producers and writers have the stones to pretty much end every season on a dark note. If this show doesn't win any Emmy's it'll be a shame. As good as Lost has been, this really deserves it.

Very nice finale- one that finally makes the season prequel more relevant, hehe. Though I must say, as soon as we had the "happy moment" with Jack and Audrey, it was rather obvious something bad was gonna happen to Jack or her or both.

So now it looks like Season 6 will finally pick up the Chinese plotline, which was what I think most people were expecting to be dealt with this season initially.

Overall, I think the first half of Season 5 was among the best the show has had, but some points of the Logan-conspiracy plotline for the second half waivered a bit- I think the airplane subplot in particular wasn't very effective (though Jack reobtaining the recording from the copilot kinda did give a "yes!" feeling).
