It's negative two degrees presently.

 

One of our long roof vents blew off on Friday in the middle of a bunch of rain. I patched it up enough that it didn't get to rain in the attic for too long, until the vents can be replaced. But then it immediately went to Below Zero temps so the vents can't be replaced for about 10 days (due to adhesive working and also just general safety). After all that, decided it was best to hibernate this weekend.

 

Is that -2 Freedom degrees, or -2 Commie degrees?

The wind chill is scary.

 

It’s as cold as Hoth!

 

It might be time to relocate.
Hoth is too much.

 

And I thought they smelled bad on the outside.

What were those made out of for the movie anyway? Casings filled with fat? Idk

Just found that but doesn't seem to be a conclusive answer. A quick Google didn't answer either, but I'm sure there's some behind the scenes answer out there somewhere ha

 

I'm curious to know too.
Someone said ice cubes, another said gummy worms lol.
It's probably some latex tubes filled with some liquid or colloid.

 

Either way, disgusting!

 

I forgot my gloves this morning so I would have gladly stuck my hands in some tauntaun guts while pumping gas.

On the subject of Hoth-like weather, here's a throwback!

 

Just spotted at Half Price Books. I didn't buy it, for about $50 reasons. But I had never seen it before. Sorry for the blur, it was in one of the glass cases.

 

Just done a quick search and I think the best review I've seen is:

"This is an actual book. The gist of it is that star wars and star trek are actually true stories about real christians in outer space right now fighting the forces of satan to protect us, and that the movies were made to distract us and make us think the stories aren't real.

I gave a copy to some friends who are methodist ministers and they practically hyperventilated laughing at it."

Those reviews make it sound just as ridiculous as I expected it would be. If it had been about 10 bucks or less I might have bought it for the laughs. But no way I'd drop 50 on it.
