Speaking of insulin. My county insurance Rx plan has just mailed us the updated coverages that went into effect june 1.

No Diabetes coverages period. Pills? No. Insulin? No. Needles? No. Glucose monitors and strips? Lol no **** you go die. This news was delivered on a Saturday. I wonder why.

I don’t have diabetes but i am furious.

My wife already wanted to quit, shes expediting it now (as in handing papers on Monday, instead of a couple months). Also does not have diabetes but cant take working for FL govt anymore.

They're not sweet enough. In fact they're quite sour.

This is a tricky case. Because she was 28 weeks pregnant. 28. That's well into viability and past when anyone would have done an elective abortion for her. I don't think people are looking into that detail. Had she sought an abortion earlier it would have been legal in her state.

But yes the issue of whether a warrant should be granted for this is definitely a different one.

I'm not against prosecuting her, but I'd be a lot more comfortable if the charge were murder rather than 'abortion'. Searching a phone for evidence of murder is commonplace; calling this 'abortion' opens the door to issuing similar warrants to investigate miscarriages. Republicans will do it, too.

Never thought I'd be having this conversation, but here we are.

The charge isn't actually abortion. She's being charged with improper disposal of a body. Because she burned then buried it.

Yeah the Republican PAC behind that recount spent like half a million dollars to be told that, yes, they lost the vote by double digits.... Just like the original count said.

Lol. Can't fathom why they spent money on that.

Wonder if that will give him the impetus to introduce a new bill to protect women who are dealing with these issues.

I doubt it but it's always nice to see a politician grapple with the direct consequences of their vote

There's such a profound issue with credibility (and I'm not saying its just) and who will be believed that people will do things that they've been warned about, and because of who warned them about it, will ignore it entirely until they learn the hard way.

one note about the neal collins video, he does later reveal that the 19 y/o girl thankfully returned to the hospital and had the fetus extracted after it died. she is okay, as okay as she can be.

i do not advise moving to south carolina.

This strikes me as incredibly craven. Physicians and their advocacy groups have been sounding the alarm about exactly these types of situations for years, and now all of a sudden a Republican legislator is worried? How convenient. Given that there's a midterm election right around the corner, one in which this very issue may be more front-and-center than the party which likely overplayed its hand would like to see, I'm skeptical of this 'Come to Jesus' moment at best.

And another judge allowed it in Idaho. Both rulings will be appealed to appellate circuits with competing liberal and conservative majorities, forcing SCOTUS to wade back into it.

If they rule that a pregnant woman cannot have an abortion to save her life, physicians will...

I knew this was coming, just didn't think it would be so soon.

What do you want to bet that none of those women are wealthy and white?

It this point I'm starting to wonder how many election cycles we are away from some of the anti-abortion types advocating the de-criminalization of rape. We're already at the "not necessarily a bad thing" stage.
