The symbolic theories contained within this task are mine, which I developed out of my own thoughts. ;)

Task:
This task has no category because you decide what it is! This is a once in a lifetime chance for you to pick something about the darkside and roll with it. Really show your knowledge and understanding in some aspect of the darkside through an essay on anything of your choosing.
Sith Holocrons
Holocrons, the crystal lattice devices for storing information, were first used by the Rakata. The technology was given to the legendary Sith ruler Adas in an attempt to win his trust; he saw through the ruse, but did adopt the method. Since then, various Holocrons have been created, first those of the Sith, then those of the Jedi, who, it can be presumed, either used Rakatan technology also(left within artifacts of the Infinite Empire), or stole the method from the Sith- which would be rather ironic, given that the Jedi give the Sith no credit for any such advance.
Sith Holocrons were created by those strong in Dark Side lore. They contained a 'gatekeeper', often a hologram version of the Holocron's creator. The gatekeepers could control what information they gave up, at times refusing it to the unworthy; especially in the case of one, in which scenes of torture and bloodshed were shown, the information being denied to those weak ones who flinched from these scenes.
For the most part, however, the gatekeepers gave up their information easily...often resulting in the fall of an overly curious Jedi. Sith Holocrons held a dark presence to them; they made some Jedi feel sick, and the mere presence of them could encourage a Jedi to turn, like Atris, who delved too deeply into her collection of Holocrons for too long, and paid the price.
The list of known Sith Holocrons is as follows; that of Adas, that of Bo Vanda(which contained a gatekeeper who tried to trick Holocron users into taking it to Korriban so he could possess their bodies), that used by the Nightsister Silri to find a Sith Army encased in carbonite(maker of the Holocron unknown), that of Darth Andeddu(which held an ancient red lightsaber crystal given to Quinlan Vos by Count Dooku upon finding the Holocron), that of Darth Bane, that of Darth Krayt(which indicates he had rediscovered the technology needed to make Holocrons), that of Darth Nihilus, that of Darth Revan(used by Darth Bane, and destroyed when its power died), that of Dathka Graush, and that of Tulak Hord.
Atris was said to have collected scores of Sith Holocrons, but their creators are unknown. Odan-Urr captured one Sith Holocron, taking it from the ship of Naga Sadow. This Holocron was later stolen by Exar Kun. The Jedi Temple on Coruscant held a number of Sith Holocrons, kept hidden in case the Order needed information upon the Sith. According to Palpatine, these were forgeries designed to spread misinformation, but since he had Vader retrieve them, it may be that he said this only to dissuade his apprentice from stealing any of them for himself.
Darth Plagueis owned several, later presumably inherited by Sidious.
Lorn Pavan attempted to buy a Holocron from the Toydarian Zippa; though it cannot be confirmed, it was suspected to be a Sith Holocron.
It is possible to read a certain symbolism, I believe, into the shapes of the Holocrons. Jedi Holocrons tended to be cubical, while Sith Holocrons tended to be pyramidal in shape. That these shapes are somewhat echoed in the shapes of the temples seems significant. Many Jedi Temples have been of a more cubical shape, which implies equality and unity; but where all are equal in having their feet firmly on the ground, none can reach for glory. Sith Temples, like Sith Holocrons, hold a pyramidal shape. Pyramids have been used by ancient cultures, used as symbolic ramps to the sky or to power. Thus, one could suggest that this hints of the way of the Sith; reaching up, often alone at the highest point, to grasp power.
The most openly stated sentiment of the Sith Holocrons is that which is inscrib

Task: Hypothetical

You are leading a large group of troopers in an assault on a Jedi Citadel. The Jedi have moved the majority of the innocent citizens and servants into a protected area beneath the Citadel. Your troopers will be able to hold of a small number of Jedi which guard this Citadel for long enough. So that you a Sith Acolyte can attack a shield generator and bring the Citadel under the direct fire from your long range artillery. The bombing that will follow will allow you to take out the Jedi, leveling the Citadel to slag. You will lose your troopers and the innocents hidden under the Citadel all of them being buried and crushed. However you will have won complete victory. What do you do?

I allow the bombs to drop on the citadel and watch as it crumbles on my troops and the innocents. The innocents mean nothing to me. If they die, it is because they lack the strength necessary to live. Soldiers can be replaced with the wave of my hand. If they do not join willingly, then they will join forcibly. Those that needed to die are dead, and those that didnÃ?¢ââ??‰â??¢t matter join the dead. I win, they lose.

Excellent work my friends. I will be posting a new roster shortly. However to look at your prestige scores for all of the tasks completed up to now, you must go to the offsite and view the roster.

These tasks will remain open indefinately for now. So keep them coming.

Here is a link to the Sith site again: http://z10.invisionfree.com/The_Sith_Trials/index.php?

Also in regards to the Hypothetical task I enjoyed many of the reponses, you recieved full credit if your answer stated anything along the lines of not being concerned with any type of civilian casualties and you leveled the complex. Some of you included some other onteresting scenerios along with similar repsonses which allowed for Sith propoganda or turning and recruiting slaves, Jedi as a result too. These were fine, however again I was mostly looking for you taking the opportuntiy and achieving the victory layed at your feet and not hesitating to do so!

Task: Sith Knowledge

The force is a Sith's ultimate tool. A true Sith molds his tool to whatever he wants it to be. It can be used to manipulate ones thoughts and actions, it can be used to destroy a group from within, it can be used to kill upon command. Their are a plethora of powers and abilities one can achieve through proper usage of the force.
(Click title of power for demonstration of technique)

Most Valuable:

1) Mind Control - The ultimate manipulation power, Mind Control takes full control of an enemy's mind. One can instruct another to kill themselves, or to kill another. The most valuable force power, Mind Control can destroy worlds in the most subtle of ways.

2) Death Field - A devastating power, Death Field drains the life of all sentients around the user, not only weakening the ones affected by it, but healing the user. A truly evil power.

3) Force Storm - The most advanced form of what could be called the staple of Sith powers, Force Storm sends a wave of lightning to all sentients around the user. The user must have great finesse to use this power, as allies can also be struck with the deadly lightning.

4) Force Rage - Force Rage channels the very anger and passion that gives a Sith his strength. With this power, the user has increased mental and physical power.

5) Force Crush - Probably the most grueling force power to endure, Force Crush causes ones body to literally implode on itself as their body is lifted into the air. A favorite among many Sith, it was the most advanced form of Darth Vader's signature Force Choke.

6) Force Plague - A favorite among many Sith, Force Plague is the most advanced form of Force Slow. Not only does it slow one to almost a standstill allowing for the user to make a quick but devastating attack, but it also reduces the mental and physcial powers of the person affected.

7) Force Insanity - Not necessarily painful, but definitely grueling, Force Insanity brings back the most dreadful of thoughts and fills ones head with only these horrible memories. Depending on the strength of the user, this horrible effect can last from seconds, to minutes, even hours.

8) Force Scream - Force scream can be a devastating power if used by a user with sufficient power. If used correctly, Force Scream can destroy any skyscrapers near the user, or if used by one lacking in the force, the scream would be no more than a whisper.

9) Force Sight - A rather powerful ability, Force Sight sends a wave of energy to a foe by simply looking at them. Although effective, Force Sight would not be used in every occasion because of the great strain on the users Force Reserves.

10) Battle Meditation - A universal power more than a Sith power, Battle Meditation turns the tide of any battle. It motivates one side and breaks the will of the other. The only downside to this power is that only a very limited number of force users are gifted with this ability.

Most Powerful:

1) Force Storm - Possibly THE strongest power ever manifested, Force Storm

Task: Sith History

Complete Sith history from The Ancient Sith, to the Death of Lord Vader.

The original Sith, also called the True Sith by many, are the ancient species that originated on the planet of Korriban. Their skin was a crimson color and the majority of them were left handed. They were a sophisticated species, yet were considered barbaric due to their cruel and barbaric lifestyle. They were in constant war with one another, always fighting to come out on top, much like the current Sith. Their civilization was based on a caste system, mainly consisting of the warriors (Massassi), the priests [Kissai] and the Sith Lords, although there were lower sub groups. After the death of their King, Adas, the empire collapsed. They interbred with the exiled Dark Jedi, causing the pure blood Sith to quickly become extinct.

At the time of the Great Hyperspace War, Naga Sadow was one of the few remaining have breeds of the original Sith. He led his massive invasion army against the republic. His plan failed and he was forced to retreat back into Sith space. He hid on Yavin's fourth moon where using his strength in the force kept himself in Statis, while his mutated Massassi soldiers killed themselves off.

During the Jedi Civil War, the fallen jedi Revan, and his apprentice Malak discovered the Star Map on Dantooine, leading them to their first step in finding the Star Forge. After finding all the Star Maps, Revan became the Dark Lord of the Sith, and began constructing his massive army using the Star Forge. After some time of hammering the Republic, his apprentice Malak, betrayed his master and ordered his fleet to attack Revan's flagship.

Redeemed by the Jedi Bastila, Revan sought out the Star Maps once more hoping they would lead him to a way to stop Darth Malak. At the Battle of Rakata Prime, Revan defeated his former apprentice and destroyed the Star Forge once and for all. Soon after his victory, Revan left his friends and his ship, the Ebon Hawk, and headed to the Unknown Regions to battle a threat bigger than that of the Mandalorians.

In the aftermath of the war, began the rise of the Sith Triumvirate. The exiled Jedi Kreia took under her tutelage Darth Nihilus and Darth Sion. After completing their training, the two of them betrayed their master and exiled her. In search of a way to destroy the thing she hated the very most, The force, she went in search of the Exile. She found her on the Harbinger and the two on the Ebon Hawk landed on the Mining Facility on Peragus, where her former apprentice, Darth Sion, sliced her arm off.

As the Exile continued on in search of why she was exiled, her power increased, and Kreia's manipulative ways also increased. She struck fear in the hearts of many, causing them to do her bidding. When the Exile had united all the Jedi Masters on the rebuilt Jedi Temple on Dantooine, Kreia killed the three of them. With her strength, she was able to kill all three of them in one attack, rendering them not only lifeless, but she prevented them from becoming one with the force. They became a void in the force. She left the Exile on Dantooine, unconscious, seeing as how to her, she was a failure. The Exile recovered and quickly went to Telos, to confront Atris. Not to his surprise, Atris had revealed that she was Sith. Kreia had used her charismatic words to manipulate her this whole time, turning her to the dark side. The Exile defeated her and went on to save Telos from the attack force, led by Darth Nihilus, the Lord of Hunger.

Aboard the Ravager, the Exile succeeded in killing Darth Nihilus, with the help of the Miraluka Visas. After Nihilus's defeat, she went to Malachor V, to confront Darth Traya. In the Trayus Academy, the Exile was able to defeat Traya's apprentice, Darth Sion, the Lord of Pain first. Sion was immortal and was only able to die because of the Exile's skil of persuasion. From there, the Exile went to the center of Malachor V, to the Trayus core, and confronted Darth Traya. After a fierce battle, the Exile def

The Nightsisters are more a darkside cult. Though many of their teachings are rooted in actual Sith teachings. Aside from this they are just a darkside cult, however they are extremely powerful and have the potential to become as powerful if not more powerful than certain Sith. To answer your question though, no they are not Sith.

Task: Sith Knowledge

I want a list of not all the known force powers but the ten powers you find and think most valuable. Then I want a list of what you believe to be the ten most powerful force powers. A brief paragraph and explanation should be afforded to each power by you.

Most Valuable Force Powers:

1.)Telekinesis ? The ability to move objects without physical contact by means of the Force. This Force power is the one most frequently used by Jedi and Sith alike, and it is also extremely useful. From calling one?s lightsaber to his/her hand to clearing debris and moving heavy objects, to the execution of this power in combat (Force Push, Pull, throwing user?s opponent, etc.), this power is a very versatile one. I would also consider abilities such as Force Choke and Grip as branches or extensions of this power, which only adds to the list of uses. While not necessarily the most powerful Force ability, I feel that this is without a doubt the most useful.

2.)Battle Precognition ? While again, not necessarily one of the most powerful Force powers, and not purely a Dark Side power, this is one that definitely tops the list as most useful. It is used in almost every battle, every form of combat, and is used to predict (the user?s) opponent?s moves, their attacks, and maneuvers. It is the power that gives the Jedi and Sith the largest advantage over non Force-sensitives, or ?normal? beings, and it is the reason why almost all projectile weapons are useless against Force-users wielding a lightsaber.

3.)Augmentation ? The ability to augment, or better/improve the user?s physical abilities. It can be used to augment one?s speed, strength, jump height. It can be utilized in combat situations as well, and is extremely useful in lightsaber to lightsaber combat situations, and can be used to speed or strengthen and all-around improve the user?s attack.

4.)Mind Trick/Dominate Mind ? Used to take complete control of the mind of the victim, giving the user the ability to subject the victim to any task, whim, or act of slavery. When utilized correctly, this can also be used as a deadly weapon. Sidious has shown us how deadly and how useful knowledge and the mind can be, taking over the galaxy without fighting a single battle (with the exception of fighting Mace and his posse).

5.)Force Heal ? Once again, not a powerful Force ability, and not a Dark Side one, though this power is very useful. It was used to speed healing process, and could also be used to reenergize the user. I feel this power is fairly self-explanatory when it comes to why this power is a useful one.

6.)Force Rage ? This power is one that could prove the most useful to a Sith during combat. It is used to channel the rage and anger of the user and convert it to energy, speeding and strengthening the user?s attacks. We have seen how useful this ability can be, and we have seen Jedi and Sith succeed in combat only because of the utilization of this ability. We have seen a Padawan Obi-Wan duel Darth Maul to a near-draw by utilizing this ability, even though he was almost hopelessly unmatched. We have seen Anakin Skywalker utilize this ability on many occasions, defeating Dooku and Ventress after channeling his anger. Luke Skywalker has also used it as well to defeat his father on the Death Star. This power has been proven to be one of the most useful, and one of the most powerful throughout Star Wars history.

7.)Battle Meditation ? Another Force power proven to be one of he most useful throughout Star Wars history, though it applies only to combat situations, but would be useless in a lightsaber to lightsaber encounter. This ability is used to coordinate attacks, to strengthen the morale and determination of the user?s allies, and has literally won battles in the past. Joruus C?Baoth had used this during the Thrawn Campaign to win several battles for the Empire. It was speculated that Sidious had also used Battle Meditation during the Battle of E

The situation is not one that needs much thought. I continue to attack the shield generator while my troops hold off the Jedi. Once the shield has been disabled, I commence the bombing of the Citadel, taking out the Jedi, civilians, and my own troopers. Killing the Jedi is a given, the killing my troops does not matter, and neither do the civilians. The soldiers did their job, they are expendable, replaceable, pawns of the Sith, and when this small loss is weighed against the benefits of the victory achieved by destroying this Citadel, my decision is without doubt. The civilians are merely collateral damage, the costs of war, and once again, when this loss is weighed against the benefits of the victory, it seems obvious my decision was the right one, or more so, the necessary one.

Task: Sith Architecture

Now that we are finally arriving and making our home on Ziost, we need to turn it into a place of even more immense power. Gather as much info on Sith structures, temples, etc... writings, pictures, blueprints anything!

Sith Structures:
Massassi Temple (Yavin IV)
Trayus Academy (Malachor V)
Sith Academy (Korriban)
Freedon Nadd?s Tomb (Onderon)
Valley of the Dark Lords (Korriban)
Rakatan Temple (Lehon)

Massassi Temple:
A fairly basic structure similar to a step pyramid or ziggurat, made from stone and containing four levels, the temple has a history with the Sith. This temple was built out of respect for an ancient Sith Lord, Naga Sadow, and it was home to the warrior race of the ancient Sith, the Massassi. Exar Kun had also bound his spirit to the temple, and his ghost resided there for many years.

Entrance to Massassi Temple
Layout of Temple

Trayus Academy:
A Sith Academy built on Malachor V. The structure was a very complex one, and it was separated into many sanctums, above and below the surface of Malachor V. The center and innermost sanctum of the academy was known as the Trayus Core. The academy also contained proving grounds as well as a number of different corridors and hallways. The academy was said to house many Sith artifacts, said to contain relics and holocrons as well as numerous other artifacts. This academy was one of the many Sith academies built on Malachor V, though this one stands out more so than the others, mainly because of its rich history with the Sith. Revan discovered this academy during the Mandalorian Wars, and this discovery marked the start of Revan?s turn. He studied the Dark Side at this academy, and this inspired his attempt at galactic conquest. Darth Traya, Sion, and Nihilus all resided in this Academy as well while leading a shadow war on the Jedi. They used it to train countless Sith Assassins in the way of the Dark Side. The academy, however, was destroyed by the Mass Shadow Generator shortly after the Jedi Civil War.

Entrance to Trayus Academy
Trayus Core

Sith Academy (Korriban):
Another fairly basic structure, and again, one containing a large history with the Sith. The interior of the academy contained barracks, or more so, an assortment of living quarters, a Sith training room, a Sith interrogation room, and a torture room. The academy itself was made from stone, and it was located just outside of Dreshdae, and also bordered the Valley of the Dark Lords. Powerful Sith Lords such as Revan, Darth Bane, and Kas?im had resided in the academy.

Entrance to the Sith Academy (Korriban)
Interior of Academy

Freedon Nadd?s Tomb:
The tomb of Freedon Nadd, apprentice to Naga Sadow and eventual Dark Lord of the Sith. What I find most interesting about this structure is the material used in the construction of this tomb. The tomb is made of Mandalorian iron, nearly indestructible, strong enough to resist a lightsaber blade. The material is surprisingly light for its strength. The tomb itself was located on the moon of Onderon, Dxun.

Entrance to Freedon Nadd's Tomb
Interior of Tomb

Valley of the Dark Lords:
A multitude of tombs littered this valley. At least four notable Sith were buried here. Naga Sadow, Ajunta Pall, Tulak Hord, Marka Ragnos, and po

Task: Sith Philosphy

I want some opinions and thoughts on the roles and responsibilities of Masters and Apprentices.

I believe that a Sith apprentice should be completely submissive to his/her master. That does not mean complete humility, but it is useless for the apprentice to act as if they are the master's equal. In return, a Sith Master should be strict, and never allow their apprentice to have any weaknesses, or at least let them show. There should be respect on both sides- the apprentice for the master's knowledge and the fact the master is willing to teach him/her, and the master for the fact the apprentice has a desire to listen and learn.

As for their roles, the Master should be a teacher at all times, flexible yet never changing. It is the Master's job to mold his apprentice into a Sith, which has no set hours, it is a constant process. And an apprentice should accept everything the Master is willing to teach and be grateful for it.

Responsibilities: a Master should be partially, not entirely, responsible for his/her Apprentice's actions. The Apprentice is mentally and physically capable of knowing what they are doing, and therefore knows the risks and consequences; however, the Master has essentially created their Apprentice and must be willing to take some blame when something goes wrong or the Apprentice is out of line. Likewise, the Apprentice is not responsible for his/her Master. To believe such would be to create arrogance and a feeling of superiority as well as distrust.

Task: Sith History

The Sith people, where did they come from, what were they like? Extract as much information about this ancient civilization and put it in an essay.

The Sith species, sometimes called the ancient Sith, true Sith, or Sith people, were defined by their red skin and small tentacles protruding from their face (sometimes referred to as ?tentacle beards?). The Sith species originated on Korriban, though later inhabited Ziost. Almost all pureblood Sith were left-handed, though around the time of Naga Sadow, there were very few pureblooded Sith left.

This ancient civilization was constantly at war, and violence was part of everyday life, a part of their existence. They sacrificed live sentients to their ?gods.? They possessed a strict caste system. The levels of this system were the lowly Sith slaves (at the bottom end of the caste system, naturally), the priests, or Kissai, and the Massassi, or warrior race of the Sith.

The Sith were constantly vying for the title of Sith Lord. The members of the race would fight each other in a series of one-on-one duels to determine who is the strongest and who deserves the title of Dark Lord.

The most notable Sith Lord was King Adas, who was theorized to be the Sith?ari, the Dark Side equivalent of the Chosen One. He was the only Sith Lord to achieve complete rule as a king. Other notable Sith Lords include: Marka Ragnos, Naga Sadow,

The very early history of the true Sith was for the most part, unknown. It is known, however, that this ancient civilization had lasted before thousands and thousands of years before its brief unification under Adas. During Adas? rule, the Sith were visited by the Rakata (Infinite Empire), and the Rakata offered gifts, the knowledge and the technology of holocrons. They informed the Sith that they intended to forge an alliance with them, though in reality, they intended to conquer them. Their true intentions were soon discovered, and Adas and his empire fought back against the Rakata, eventually defeating them, though the Sith?ari sacrificed himself in the process. The Sith empire was once again thrown into chaos, the unification short-lived.

Later on, the Sith were visited by the exiled and fleeing Dark Jedi, who once again unified the Sith empire, though under their rule. By this time, the Sith species had begun to interbreed with the Dark Jedi, and there were very few pureblood Sith left.

Marka Ragnos rose to power shortly after the appearance of the Dark Jedi, and he defeated Simus for the title of Dark Lord. The details of his reign are very much unknown, though it is known that he ruled the Sith until he died of old age, the only Sith to die from natural causes.

The next notable Sith Lord to rise to power was Naga Sadow, and his rise occurred approximately 2000 years after the Dark Jedi?s arrival, and shortly after Ragnos? death. He was a Sith/Dark Jedi hybrid, and he waged war against the Galactic Republic, a war later known as the Great Hyperspace War. He performed Sith Alchemy on the Massassi of his time, mutating them after his exile on Yavin IV. Sadow then entered a meditative trance, and encased himself in a sarcophagus.

Sadow went on to train Freedon Nadd after Nadd discovered and reawakened the Sith Lord, though Nadd was a human, and by that time, the Sith species had, for the most part, had died out.

Take any lightsaber duel from the movies and analyze it completely in a broken down form. Including the styles and powers used, along with a detailed account of the precise moves performed by those involved.

[blockquote]Yoda vs. Sidious

Shortly after discovering that the ordered the Clone troopers to destory all jedi, Grand Master Yoda knew that he is the only one powerful enough to defeat the new Emporer.
[/blockquote]
Beginning - The Lightsaber Duel: Master Yoda walks into the Senate office, where he quickly disposes of the two Royal Gaurds assigned to protect the Dark Lord. The duel begins with the Dark Lord sending a quick, but powerful burst of Sith lightning at the Jedi Master, sending him flying across the room, rendering him unconcsious. The Jedi recovers and uses a powerful Force Push at the Sith Lord, also sending him flying across the room. Sidious recovers and attempts to flee from Yoda. The Grand Master blocks his path, igniting his saber, using the force to pump his aged body.

[image=http://fersim.blog.jeuxvideo.com/images/mn/1126898214.gif]

The Jedi takes the stance of form IV, Ataru, which allows for his rapid movement and mind boggling acrobatics. Sidious, also said to be a master of form IV, ignites his saber and raises it high, blocking Yoda's attack. The Jedi flips forward, bouncing off the Senate Podium. Sidious jabs once more in a downward motion, with Yoda quickly blocking it. Yoda, deeply impersed in the force and in the Ataru form, flips onto the Senate Podium, with Sidious behind him. The two use their lightsabers with incredible finesse, their blades becoming a blur due to the great speed acheived by the masters. As the senate podium rises, the two continue to battle it out. Yoda uses flips and side jumps to his advantage, going around the perimeter of the Podium several times. Yoda was one the offensive the vast majority of the lightsaber portion of the duel. He incorporated many 360 turns while in midair then attacking the Sith lord quickly, usually slashing at the laterals. Sidious on the defenisve, can only turn along with the Jedi, defending and blocking the Master's attacks. They engage in several 'Force Blocks', with Yoda coming out on top in every one. Yoda precedes at disarming the Sith Lord of his lightsaber using his skill with a lightsaber.

Middle - The Force Duel: Realising that he needed to take a diffrent course of action, Lord Sidious jumped onto a Senate pod, gaining the high ground. In one of the most amazing displays of Dun Moch, Sidious not only levitates the pod he is standing on, but also leviates 3 other pods around him. By many, this is considered one of the most amazing uses of Telekinesis, comparable to the lifting of the Ravager off Malachor V by Darth Nihilus, or the lifting of the C-9979 Landing Craft acheived by Master Yoda. The Sith Lord rips the repulsor pods out of their sockets, and sends them flying at the tiny master.

The Grand Master avoids the senate pod by jumping massive distances from pod to pod. Several of these repulsor pods were sent at Yoda, but all were avoided using flips and jumps. It is unclear whether Yoda, being a Jedi, attempted to avoid more aggresive behavior in sending them back, or lacked the power to. Eventually, Yoda grew tiresome of dodging pods. He put his shortened version of the traidtional lightsaber away, and using the force, abruptly stopped the pod thrown at him by Sidious. He spun the pod in a circular motion several times, then sent it back at Sidious. The Dark Lord, busy cackling, didn't see the pod being sent at him, and was forced to jump down, landing in the center of a repulsor pod.

End - Final Attack: Having lost sight of the elusive Yoda, Sidious looks around the Senate Chamber, trying to locate his opponent. Suddenly, Yoda jumped upward on the pod, lan

Task: Sith Combat

Take any lightsaber duel from the movies and analyze it completely in a broken down form. Including the styles and powers used, along with a detailed account of the precise moves performed by those involved.

Yoda vs. Darth Sidious (Senate Duel)

The Two Combatants:

Yoda: Grandmaster of the Jedi Order, the oldest, wisest, most experienced, and not only the most powerful of the Jedi Order of his era, but also one of the most powerful Force-users in the entire Star Wars universe. Standing a mere 66 centimeters, he utilized a form that freed him of the limitations of his short stature, Form IV, or Ataru. Ataru is a very fast-paced, very aggressive form of lightsaber combat, which calls for the execution of (Force-assisted) acrobatics.

Darth Sidious: The most powerful Sith in Star Wars history. He is nothing short of brilliant, wise and experienced, though also proficient in lightsaber combat and possessed an affinity with the Force. It is speculated that he had mastered all seven forms of lightsaber combat, though it is factual that he had mastered both Ataru and Juyo.

The Duel:

After the execution of Order 66, the declaration and reorganization of the Galactic Republic into the Empire, the only course of action left for the two (known) remaining Jedi is to confront the Emperor and his new apprentice. While Obi-Wan heads to Mustafar to confront his former Padawan (Anakin Skywalker), Yoda heads for the Emperor, Darth Sidious. The duelists are two masters of the Force, two of the most powerful Force-users in history

Entrance and Introduction:

Yoda enters the Emperor?s office, making short work of the two guards stationed at the door, knocking them out swiftly. He then turns to the Emperor, and the two exchange a few words before the Emperor launches his first attack, throwing a short burst of lightning at the Grand Master. The Jedi is thrown backwards, having little time to defend the attack. Sidious slowly advances, taunting the Jedi. Yoda hauls himself to his feet, then counters with his own Force-based attack. Now the Emperor is thrown backwards, hitting his desk and knocking over his chair. The Emperor stands up, then leaps towards the door, seemingly fleeing from the Grand Master. Yoda blocks his escape, the two duelists ignite and brandish their lightsabers. The two hold another small conversation before the battle begins.

Lightsaber to Lightsaber: The Office and the Chancellor?s Podium

Yoda is the first to attack, somersaulting over the Sith Lord and bouncing off the Chancellor?s podium. The Sith Lord parries the first attack, and as Yoda lands their lightsabers meet at the tip, sparking slightly. The duel then transitions onto the podium, the Emperor quickly gaining the best footing, position, and advantage in the middle of the podium, though Yoda, in an impressive display of balance and agility, manages to stay on the offensive, maintaining his constant acrobatics while attacking from all angles of the podium. The podium raises, and the battle continues in a constant fashion, each combatant displaying their mastery of the lightsaber as they attack and defend in continuous repetition.

The Senate Pods:

Sidious leaps to the pods of the Senate, and Yoda quickly follows in pursuit (it should be noted that during this transition from the Chancellor?s podium to the Senate pods, Sidious seems to lose his lightsaber, it is speculated Yoda disarms the Sith Lord before this transition). Sidious, in one of the most impressive displays of telekinesis ever witnessed, levitates the Senate Pod he had landed on as well as three or so other Senate Pods. He uses the levitating pods as weapons, throwing them at Yoda. Yoda continues to display remarkable agility as he evades each pod, leaping from one to another. Yoda then deactivates his saber as Sidious pulls another Senate Pod from its place. The Grand Master raises his hands as the Emperor throws the pod and stops it mid-flight. Yoda begins to

All right. Having absolutely nowhere else to ask such a question, I will do so here. Feel free to ignore this until appropriate if it isn't now. I just want to post it so I don't forget. Sith alchemy. What is it? What does it entail? What ingredients are used? Can you cite any use of sith alchemy in movies/books/comics/other? Thanks for your time and consideration. I'll be checking back daily, but hope that my questions will be answered as soon as possible.

Hmm.....I've been a member of the offsite for sometime now. So, I guess I should just repost my current character sheet to the AoD RPG section. I viewed the rankings as well. Hmm...Interesting. :p

Alright, lemme get on that. One question: Do we stop posting tasks here and begin to post them at the offsite?

EDIT:

*Just saw the offsite AoD in greater detail. So I guess I won't be posting my OLD character sheet. Starting us from scratch, huh? De ja vu'? My REAL question now is: What will happen to the characters we've developed thus far?

A previously assigned task on Sith Philosophy, which I completed before the more recently assigned task on Sith Philosophy as I feel the two relate:

Task: Sith Philosophy

I want some opinions and thoughts on the roles and responsibilities of Masters and Apprentices.

I feel that the relationship of a master and apprentice should be a symbiotic or mutual one. The master, as stated in the Rule of Two, is the embodiment of power, the Apprentice, aware of his master?s power, strives to obtain it. The Apprentice should respect and obey his/her master, though meanwhile, the master should be open to suggestion, allow freedom of speech in his apprentice, allow the occasional disagreement, asking his/her opinions on matters of war, strategy, and combat, while assessing the apprentice accordingly, using this opt for opinion as a subtle test. The Master should remain cautious, nevertheless, and he should set up barriers, or limits to this freedom of speech, as there is a fine line between suggestion and defiance.

The Master should confide all the knowledge of the Sith in his Apprentice, teaching him of the Sith Philosophy, the Force, the Dark Side of the Force, and the art of the lightsaber. The Master continues to train his apprentice until the Master feels that he has passed on all his knowledge to his apprentice, and the apprentice understands this knowledge and can utilize it. The master trains him until he feels that his apprentice is ready to take on his own apprentice, after which the original Master seeks out another Sith to train as his apprentice, while at the same time the recently dubbed Sith Lord seeks out an Apprentice of his own. I feel in an order such as this, the clash between the Master and Apprentice is unneeded, as this is what I would classify as ?senseless killing.? Why kill a powerful Sith Lord capable of further strengthening the Sith Order, surely this killing only applies to the Rule of Two, which we (the Acolytes of Darkness) have obviously ?rejected? in establishing an Academy of Sith.

Task: Sith Philosophy

The dark side grants power to those whom are willing to fully give themselves up to it, what are you willing to do to achieve this? Tell us please. And what are your thoughts about our Academy here and how does that fit in?

What am I willing to do to achieve this state of immersion? Put simply, anything and everything. I joined this academy in hopes that I would attain knowledge of the Dark Side, and along with it, power, and I am willing to do everything in my ability to obtain what I seek. I understand what I must do to obtain this power, the physical and mental aspects of this journey, as well as the focus that is required. I will do whatever is necessary to fulfill my ambitions. I am willing to devote myself fully to the teachings of this academy. I am willing to give my full loyalty to this academy. I am willing to fully give myself over to the Dark Side. I will respect and obey the masters of this academy and I will respect my fellow students as well, if only to avoid controversy and possible harm to the academy. That is not to say, however, that I do not intend to strive to prove myself better than, and separate myself from the other Acolytes. I will not allow for distractions, and I will devote as much time needed to reach my goals.

Master BultarSwan, I would be happy to help you with your question, give me sometime to put together the appropriate information.

greyjedi125 Re-posting the sheet is fine... as I will be posting a very similar sheet, slightly modified. Feel free to post tasks either here or at the offsite. Credit will be recieved at either. Also the prestige list is not a rankings list merely telling you whether you are an apprenitce, warrior, master ect... hope this clears things up.

Master, I would be glad to research and report on this subject, if it pleases you.
I was curious about Sith Alchemy anyway.
I would also like to do a task on the subject of Sith Magic.
