    Mark Hamill is doing a more over the top version of Cesar Romero's Joker. Hamill's Joker is better, but the foundation of his performance is clearly the 1960's show.

    Huh, I think he's perfect casting. The scripts screwed him over, but he's a great choice in my opinion.

    Exactly. Street Fighter was an absolutely awful movie, but casting Raul Julia as M Bison was chef’s kiss.

    judith malina, who played the grandma in the addams family, was actually a pretty important figure in the history of radical and political theater. my ex was lucky enough to meet and interview her shortly before her death in 2015.

    Yeah, Masters of the Universe is awful, but Frank Lagella’s Skeletor is full blown epic Sith Lord.

    A couple of casting happy accidents:

    Cillian Murphy as Thomas Shelby in Peaky Blinders. They'd been looking at guys like Jason Statham but Cillian persuaded them to go another (better, imo) way.
    Harrison Ford as Han Solo.

    PERFECT CASTING: Steve Martin as the dentist, in Little Shop of Horrors. His screen time only amounts to about 5 or 6 minutes, but it's the best part of the film.

    perfect: jimmy stewart and grace kelly in rear window. it would have still been a great film with other actors, but these two help elevate it to masterpiece status.

    Perfectly cast: Andre the Giant as Fezzik in The Princess Bride

    Terribly miscast: John Wayne in that one movie where he played Genghis Khan, and Melanie Griffith in anything she was ever in.

    For bad casting of Jimmy Stewart, watch the film Bell, Book and Candle. He gives a good performance as usual, but he's totally wrong for the part.
