[AFD] Tracking down other users...

DH made me think of this. If there's anyone you need to hunt down to PM them the new location (because most people aren't going to go all the way through the TFN menus to find "Denver, CO")...

Click anyone's username to display their info... Zoom_Cthooga

And when the page comes up, up in the little address bar you'll see:

Replace the username ("Zoom_Cthooga") with the one you want ("SITH__CHICK"), and it will display normally.

And if you can't remember the name exactly, click around on everyone else -- I'm sure that between most of us, we have everyone listed as a watched user.

Why can't you just go to other peoples "watched users" (if they aren't in your own) click on the user name & then PM from there?

 

One heck of a way to track who our active users are.


While we're at it, should we want to create some type of database with contact info (just email and maybe cel/home numbers) so that if we ever have a need that needs to go out quickly, we can get the word out? Kinda like a phone tree?

Just a thought.

Yep. We did have it, for cell numbers at least... back in, like, 2004 or thereabouts? Might be a tad bit out of date by now.

Email list is a good idea as well. I'm sure a lot of people have other people's emails, but I don't know if there's a master list...?

 

It was supposed to be tracked by the Secretarian... I know it was passed on when it stopped being me... And again when I updated before going out as CR

 

I have never seen it. So no idea who has it.

 

We might just want to create one of these... just to be safe.

 

I think I had/have something of the sorts from the Pre-CIII prep days of yore. Obviously, it wouldn't include anyone who has since joined da group.

Actually, I still have it in here. "RMFF C3 Cell Phone Contact List", with Screen Name (Real Name), phone number and then a column for writing down hotel room numbers at the con. Looks like I never got around to filling that part in.

Huh. Looks like I also still have four "Friends and Family" coupons for CIII here in my wallet.
