Speculation Ahsoka in Episode VII

I hope that they won't bring her in, but I understand that bringing her in will give her a familiar connection to the young TCW fans. I could see one of 2 options of how to include her.

1. Luke has her on council, doesn't mention how or when she showed up (just like every other Jedi in the PT sitting on the council), and he just refers to her as Master Tano.
2. They do it all in the clone wars... She gets carbonite frozen/force statsised. Final scene of TCW is her opening her eyes with Luke standing above her, she is confused. He explains a short synopsis. He knights her... She becomes a knight of the NJO. She remains young, her fans will watch Ep 7 for her...

 

No. Leave Ahsoka out of it. Besides the fact that I don't like that they gave Anakin a padawan in TCW, and I don't particularly like her character, I do not think, story wise, that they should be bringing in any pre-GCW Jedi. Yoda said to Luke, "When gone am I, the last of the Jedi will you be." The last.

 

Yoda's not exactly infallible though.

 

That would be a bit tricky to do. Anakin did not complete Ahsokas training because he was still a Knight in Revenge of the Sith. Most of the prequel trilogy Jedi would have become one with the Force by this time even if they did not fall victim to Operation Knightfall. She would be older than Obi-Wan was in a New Hope.

 

You know what? I like Ahsoka. It'd still make no sense to include a character from secondary sources who has no connection to the previous movies.

No, unfathomably ridiculous to have her in. I really like Ahsoka's character, but it wouldn't make any sense at all.
Tying the PT to the ST by wedging in character comebacks is not a thing I see working, and something I think would only cheapen the next trilogy.

 

As much as I love Ahsoka, I don't think it'd fit having her in the ST. Just focus on the new generation with the OT cast ONLY doing brief cameos.

 

I agree I don't want it, however we must remember there is an entire generation of fans who don't get on forums to talk with other fans, they just wake up on time on saturday morning, their mom hands them a poptart and they watch their cartoons... Ashoka is the one character they could salvage to the ST, to keep them involved. I am for them launching another CGI series in the fall of 2013 starting directly after EP 6. Maybe move Kyle Katarn, Kam Solusar, or Kyp as the apprentice that Luke finds directly following Ep 6. That way we get lightsabers. Maybe add alot of Emperor's hands... So we get lightsaber fights. By the end we get to where we are now. You could probably keep Ashoka in the new CGI series, but then have her disappear on a mission directly before EP 7

 

I would wager most people who watch TCW watch the movies, they don't need Ahsoka to link the TV show with the films because characters like Obi Wan & Anakin & Greivous already do that.

Im on series 4 and up until now, she hasn't said it that much. It is annoying when she does.

 

She used to do it in the first season, they cut it out after that.

 

She is becoming more mature, if they did an old Ashoka, she wouldn't be a kid. She would be a Jedi Master by then, or dead. She would be mature... Then they could go back and have that generation grow up with Ashoka as a main character following her story through 4-6, and then the EU. SHe would be like 90 in the films however. I don't know Togrutan life spans however...

 

Are they seriously just trying to create a Hipster Jedi for Star Wars, or is the screenwriter a baboon with ADHD?

 

I think "Skyguy" was supposed to be like "fly boy", only terrible.

 

I did have some passing interest in TCW....that just fizzled away.

It would be great to know if Darth Vader personally killed Ashoka (as part of the continuing Jedi purge post-ROTS).
