Speculation Ahsoka in Episode VII

Agreed. And like I said before, It would conflict with what Yoda said in ROTJ: "When gone am I, the LAST of the Jedi will you be..." We saw the look on Luke's face when he realized the weight of that point, and it was a great and effective element in solidifying Luke as the one to defeat/redeem Darth Vader and "revive" the Jedi Order. The existence of Ahsoka in later episodes just bends over and takes a big dump on that whole plot element!

Yoda did not say: "When gone am I, the SECOND to last of the Jedi will you be...go to (X planet) and find a Jedi that once Anakin Skywalker's apprentice had been, and see if help you she can..."

Now I like Ahsoka well enough, don't get me wrong. But I think she should survive TCW (if she's killed off it would be wierd that Anakin wouldn't mention her in ROTS, considering we hear about everyone else he loses) and be killed in the purge "off-screen." Besides-isn't Ahsoka like a young teenager in TCW? I'm not sure I'd want Ep VII-IX to be all about a kid all the way thru. A young adult, fine-but I don't want three episodes of essentially what we got in TPM. Or three episodes of her being in her 90's either, for that matter...

 

She could be frozen in carbonite/force stasis... WIth the Carbonite/Force Stasis, Luke finds her directly after EP 6... Allowing for Plot to change of the EU because of one new character in Ashoka... Or she could come out of Stasis later. Making her apprentice to the son of her former master... Thereby not aging and showing up after EP 6... If she were frozen in carbonite. I don't think Yoda would know she was running around and might consider her dead... Maybe she is even reported Dead by the clones and Yoda overhears...

 

Except the whole point of the Jedi in the OT is that Luke is completely and utterly alone. If LFL is actually willing to retcon Gcanon in favor of Tcanon than I don't want to be involved. Especially if they aren't going to show any respect or regard for the EU.

 

True... I was thinking that with Ashoka there, we could get our EU and everything else as well...

 

Looks like a new Special edition change for RTJ is coming out if this happened.

I am not a propent. I just option out ideas... I would kill Ashoka myself if I could protect Ben, Jaina, Kyle, and Corran

 

I like Ashoka but she is not mentioned in the OT and she is not mentioned in the PT and feel that she should not survive the TCW. I don't want Anakin to kill her rather have her death something thats sets him further down the road to the darkside as she is basically a female version of Luke believing in Anakin.

 

Agreed. The trilogies must not contradict each other. Plain and simple. And yes, that WOULD be a contradiction. If they do put Ahsoka in then it ruins everything as it pertains to the OT, all just for the sake of being able to stick in an obligatory character to give kids a nod, so they can point to the screen and say "hey, there's Ahsoka!!" And then we're left to try and find some bumbling, sloppy way to explain around it, just to make the continuity work...

Sigh....let The Clone Wars stay it's own thing....I think Ashoka is sort of lame.
