    Hank is probably the only one in his friend group who could go either way since despite ostensibly being a conservative he sort of just absorbs a lot of Mike Judge's right libertarianism. By contrast I'm 100% sure Dale is deep, deep into QAnon (despite Johnny Hardwick's YouTube channel), Boomhauer is literally a cop, and Bill is probably full-on incel at this point.

    Weird timing- there was another network about to launch that was taking heavy inspiration by G4 and basically namechecked them constantly to try and sell their brand. Now G4 itself is coming back so they must be a little... wary now.

    Even though I shouldn't I think I'll watch Next if for I'm a fan of Manny Coto (who showran Enterprise S4 and then was on 24), tech surveillance dystopia and John Slattery, so it'll get a watch. Also the fact that there's no Supergirl or Batwoman in September leaves something of a gap in my schedule. (But there's also Brave New World on Showcase in September, and the Boys and 2 Walking Dead shows starting in October so not much of a gap, really)

    Edit: ok so trailer for Departure doesn't exactly stir with confidence but dangit Christopher Plummer. Oh he's probably just there for the pilot episode. You can't promise me Christopher Plummer like that!

    yknow what's interesting is that while Netflix posits all of it's films as "theatrical releases" and El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie even got a theatrical release, instead of being up for Oscars it is up for Emmy TV Movie. I guess they change the category based upon whatever they think would win the most tin.

    Bloody Disgusting is launching an AVOD (ad-supported) streaming service.

    It will be distributed both as a linear television channel and on an Ad-Supported VOD platform on connected TVs, digital set-top boxes, media-streaming devices, and web-based services across more than 670 million devices.

    Cinedigm will push the channel to more than 60 partners globally, including distribution partners such as Vizio, Samsung, Xumo, Tubi and more.    ​

    Update on the Red Dwarf special to be aired on Dave on Thursday August 6 here in the UK - show time will be 9PM-10 PM followed by two episodes that will air 10PM-1120 PM. (Sky channel 111).

    nbcuniversal is laying off "less than 10% of their 35,000 workers," as they restructure behind peacock and shift resources to the streaming platform. as an aside, peacock is still terrible.

    has hit many of their nbcsports-related sites, namely beat reporters and writers. will also impact their movie studio and theme parks. wonderful timing, as any semblance of pandemic-related relief from the federal government has dried up and gone away.

    Yikes that really sucks. Especially under the cover of peacock, which is awful (I assume... I have Roku so I can't even try it).

    Meanwhile, Fixer Upper is coming back to Magnolia Network in 2021. I am unreasonably happy about this.
