Yeah it might be too late to go back, but a few Basilisk's in Rebels would be great!.

I'm not going to lie, I like the idea of Mandalore being a barren wasteland rather than an untouched vegetational beauty, as it makes sense for a culture that fight each other a lot when there isn't something bigger to shoot. It's logical that they'd destroy their own planet eventually, and we saw what they did to Concord Dawn. They remind me a lot of the Krogan from Mass Effect.

And I don't mind them being all-human warriors instead of a mixture of many species. They are essentially space-Vikings. They still adopt a lot of people into their culture, just as long as they are human. In the EU they were an idea that anyone could sign up for if they were worthy, but in current canon they are less so.

There will be some things I'll miss from the EU Mandos, but I do like what I've seen so far from the current canon Mandos and I think it has potential to be better than the previous canon. Stuff like religion, food and language should be retained from the EU though, methinks...we don't wanna go too far from the originals, or there won't be much left to recognise other than the armour.

Did Nuclear Weapons get dropped on Mandalore in the EU at all? I'm just asking because when we saw Mandalore in The Clone Wars series, it didn't have anything growing and everyone lived in an enclosed dome structure.

    Long live Duchess Satine!
May after the many years of bloodshed our planet be healed
And the years of peace be long.
    Long may Mandalore prosper!

Mandalore was an untouched beauty in the EU, which was strange for a culture like the Mandalorians. Lots of trees, and streams and stuff.

They certainly did. Mandalore can't support life anymore, they dun goofed their planet.

But the Mandalorians are a proud people, no way they'd abandon their home planet despite the state it's in. Would like to see more into those bio-domes, though. The Mandalorian buildings are nice, they said it was all inspired by looking at individual bits of Boba Fett's armour.

One thing I gotta hand to the new canon, I do think the Mandalorian architecture is a great addition and the current state of Mandalore makes more sense than the old one.

Obi-wan did mention a civil war killed most of Satine's people.
Violence on that scale could be why the planet is the way it is in TCW.

I'm not really familiar with Mandalore in the old EU, but the TCW version is interesting.

Yes, a Civil War that led to Satine's regime I believe. They had a different perspective after seeing what the war did to their planet and Concord Dawn.

Anyone who resisted the Regime in favour of continuing old traditions were sent off to Concordia. Most of them would've become Deathwatch. Others likely Bounty Hunters and the like.

I think that's how it all went down, anyways.

I'm sure there are more planets under Mandalorian rule then Concordia where Rebels and True Mandalorian citizens exist. Although some may be more secretive in the sense that they don't openly show support for the exiled ones.

I hope we get to learn more about Mandalorian culture in Rebels season 3. They need to bring back some aspects, like their adoption ways or how they raise their children. Things like that.

Agreed, the strong family aspect is one of the main things that drew me to Mando culture.
That and awesome space warriors wearing bad@$$! armor of course.
But its their humanity and love of family, why i favor them over selfish Sith and crazy Jedi.

Because it could show other species besides humans being Mandalorian. Like Wookie's for example.

    I find it lacking.

And I really mean that, it lack loan words and some really important words. But then again I guess you could use English or some other Earth language to both fill in the blanks and give the language some loan words.
