Apparently he settled out of court, not the 'dismissal' that he's claiming

 

Settled what? It wasn't a civil case. Do you mean he paid off the accuser?

This is what I read:

A spokesperson for the Orange County District Attorney’s office told Kotaku that the case was dismissed “for lack of sufficient evidence to prove the case beyond reasonable doubt as a result of additional information that came to light in the investigation.”

Eh, I read some comment in the post, which was likely wrong based on your link - I jumped the gun.

 

While I don't know if this particular accusation is true, it sounds like he deserved to lose his job(s) based on his work conduct alone (i.e., being a dick and refusing to do any work other than get drunk in a recording booth).

 

It should bother us, though, as people living under capitalism, when accusations alone can cause someone to lose their job. He's wealthy enough where he'll be fine, but that corner store worker who gets accused of something and loses their job immediately won't be fine.

 

I don't think this is the right case for that. It wasn't "accusations alone." The Orange County District Attorney thought there was enough evidence to bring felony charges against him, a rich guy who can afford the best lawyers. It wasn't just someone ****posting on Twitter. It's also notable how, unlike what happens with a lot of these things, absolutely no one who knows Roiland came to his defense or so much as said, "I thought he was a nice guy."

 

He's also a union buster so **** him regardless of his criminal status.

 

Also, there’s still those creepy dms he was sending to teenage girls.

They will not truly hit this status until you have a bunch of people who keep going to see only the latest Spider-Man movie, complain about every single one, and yet still go see the next one every time. “Why not check out a different superhero movie, or something not about superheroes?” is met with blank stares.
