I cancelled my previous reservation at the Hyatt because they wanted to charge the first night up front, so I managed to make a reservation through the portal today at the Best Western across from Disneyland from Tuesday through Monday. Figure that will give me time to do Disneyland on one day and CA the other. In 2015 I only did DL for the day, but I want to check out the Marvel stuff at CA. Now I’m going to open Twitter to see how other people did. Should be interesting. At this point the hotel selection is going to look like shelves at the Celebration store when the hotels open up to everyone next week.
I got Sheraton Park from 5/25 to 5/29 for the show dates. I emailed them saying I would like to extend my reservation until 6/2. See what happens. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I think the real heartbreak might come if and when Reed ever sells additional tickets outside of Lyte. I see a fair amount of people on FB and Reddit asking about new tickets going on sale, and I can’t help but think that most people kept their tickets.
Last time I got 2 days at marriott and waitlisted the rest, and got them 6 months later. This time I just got wenesday night marriott, and wed-Sun at springhill. I need to waitlist those extra days at both. not leaving sunday obviously but thats the toughest night to get.
Sent an email to get on waitlist for both hotels. Wont mind Springhill that much if I can get the sunday night.
Had network issues at work which I had to resolve and kept me away from email until just now, so yeah, whole lotta nothing!
Keep checking. I was just able to add two more days to my reservation. Have a feeling lots of people booked stuff just to book it and weigh their options. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I remember for our Chicago booking we had days across multiple bookings and just added and removed days here and there as they came available. Ended up with the full stay across 2 bookings that the hotel combined on check in. I imagine a lot of people have a few days at their preferred hotel (especially the main 2) and then a back up and a lot of those back ups will be released as people are able to get the missing days at their preferred hotels.
We were right on time for the housing Conn. for hotels and suddenly in less than 5 minutes, everything was gone! I called Housing Conn. and they tried to find my days, but said I'd have to leave on the 29th, I asked about cancellations and they said call once in awhile and check on status. I thought, I may not get anything as the Cele. time grew nearer, so we looked at a hotel map, checked on my Hilton honors account and found my required days 5 miles down the road at the Hampton Inn-LA. Orange Co. Cypress. for $116 a night. this could be way better than the block rooms, even though it's 5 miles away, a bargain.
Days will definitely come up. You just have to check constantly. Apparently the 30 day mark (when they first charge) normally sees a lot of availability increase. So if it's just one or two nights you're missing it's definitely worth keeping the reservation and just trying to add the days. Of course if you can get a back up locked in with free cancellation then definitely do that too.
