During the "packing scene" in Padme's apartment on Coruscant: Padme picks up clothes that are orangish-red from the closet, starts to say, "All mentors have a way of ......", by the time she walks to her suitcase, the clothes are a deep navy or black; no sign of a reddish color.

Are we allowed to mention the strange occurences with Obi-Wan's hair throughout AotC? I'll start at the very beginning. In the elevator, Obi's hair looks plastered down, as if he took a shower and didn't quite manage to dry his hair before reporting for duty. When he reaches Padme's door (greets Jar-Jar), his hair is fluffy and dry, and a slightly different color. Must have been a long....elevator ride.

Well you see Forever_jedi, that was a prime example of the little-known-but-often-used "Jedi Hair trick", of which Obi-wan is a master... notice how on Kamaino, that dispite the raging storm outside, when he greets the Prime Minister, is hair is damp but neatly combed... It was practiced on Earth in the early part of the 20th Century by adventuring archeologist (prime example, Dr. H. 'Indiana' Jones) wo adapted and modified it into the "Corrillian Hat trick"... Same principle, except it only works with Fedoras....

    :p

"notice how on Kamaino, that dispite the raging storm outside, when he greets the Prime Minister, is hair is damp but neatly combed..."

Time passage in movies is not real time (like "24" on TV) - I'm sure Taun We would have given Obi-Wan some time and accessories to tidy himself up before being presented to the prime minister of a planet - we just don't need to see that small scene of him combing his hair.

Yes. It's not really clear in the movie how long it is between the time Obi-Wan meets Taun We, and when they meet Lama Su. It could have been ten minutes, plenty of time for Obi-Wan to tidy up.

why wasn't my easter egg about the clonetrooper getting off the gunship with obi-wan and anakin added?
im sure lots of people didn't notice that
as obi and ani get off the gunship and start running into the hangar after dooku...you can see a clonetrooper in the background get off with them. then you see a far away shot of the gunship getting blown up...and the clonetrooper gets shot by lasers and falls off the platform
think about it...that clonetrooper could've altered the fate of the galaxy
he could've just stayed back and when obi-wan and anakin started having trouble with dooku he could've come out of hiding and blasted him. he's not under any jedi code...he's a trained clonetrooper trained to eliminate the opposition

This is an awesome thread, and a really good idea. Everytime I saw AOTC in the theaters I would religiously look for EE and bloopers, and I read that huge EE and bloopers speculation thread backin may :p

Anyways, next time I watch AOTC I'll see if I can notice any that have no been mentioned yet!

    1) On Kamino, Obi Wan does a flip onto
that platform during the fight scene. He moves his hand to the right to open the door with the force, but the door slides
    open to the left.

    2) Mace Windu's lightsaber changes from purple to blue through out the entire arena battle. When they are loaded onto the gunship its all blue.

    3) In the scene where Anakin and Padme land to rescue Obi Wan and are going to go
into the droid factory, as Anakin ducks under a door, his head goes right through it.

    4) During the arena battle, Anakin cuts Obi Wan's handcuffs later in the battle
Anakin's handcuffs are no longer chained together, but we never see how they
    get separated.

    5) When Padme's royal starship enters Courascant for one quick second a building dissapears and then reappears and dissappears again.

    6) On Mace Windu's lightsaber in one scene you will see the letters "BMF" ingraved on it, which stands for "Bad Moter [edited]" from the movie he was in called Pulp Fiction.

    I got plent more bloopers!

YJ edit: When hiding a swear, cover up every letter.

I updated the list again. Thanks again, everyone, and keep them coming :)

"I am totally convinced that that is Hayden's hair, not Vader's shadow..."

ILM has stated that they didn't digitally alter the shadow in that scene. However, the focus on the shadows on the Tatooine homestead makes me (and others) believe that Anakin's hair was tied back in that scene on purpose, in order to make the shadow look similar to the shadow that Vader's shadow would cast. It seems like too much of a coincidence otherwise.

"why wasn't my easter egg about the clonetrooper getting off the gunship with obi-wan and anakin added?"

An Easter egg is more or less something small that was put in as a joke or an homage. It doesn't include every little bit of detail that is shown in every scene.

"In the scene where Anakin and Padme land to rescue Obi Wan and are going to go into the droid factory, as Anakin ducks under a door, his head goes right through it."

I added this one, but I gave it a ranking of "4". If you pay attention to the door when it opens, it looks like it is pulled out, and then up. Therefore, Anakin could have moved his head around the side of the door.

"When Padme's royal starship enters Courascant for one quick second a building dissapears and then reappears and dissappears again."

This one, I also ranked a "4", since I don't remember seeing a building disappear, and if it did, it might just be due to the density of the fog. If someone else can confirm one way or another, I can change the ranking.

Well, it's not just poor Obi-wan with hair problems, Anakin has his share too.

In the Coruscant nightclub, after Obi-Wan goes off for his drink, Anakin is walking around and Zam is advancing. At one point, there is a clear shot of the right-hand side of the back of Anakin's head as he is standing around, looking: no braid! If you watch in slo mo, you'll just be able to see the outline of the braid on his left side. A little later, the braid is back again on the right side, as it should be! (Padawan braids usually start above the right ear and drape on the right shoulder).

Remember Obi-Wan's switched braid on Tatooine in TPM?? In other words, the BRAID switching continues.

ok yodajeff...you said that easter eggs are put into the movie as jokes or homages
so obi-wan's hair coming undone and then going back to normal is considered a joke or an homage...but my post about the clonetrooper getting shot off the platform isnt?
i think the clonetrooper is more of a joke than obi-wan's hair coming undone...when you actually look close and see the clonetrooper its like ha...didnt notice that. who cares what obi-wan's hair is doing?

you say easter eggs dont include every little thing in every scene? helloooooo?! youre being picky about obi-wan's hair coming undone!

    "

The listing contains both bloopers and Easter eggs. Obi-Wan's hair was considered a "blooper" and has a "B" next to it. A blooper is an error that was made in the film, whether in editing, or in post-production.

The clonetrooper getting shot off the platform, in my opinion, is just part of the movie. An Easter egg isn't just something "interesting" that happens in the background. It usually is a planned out reference to another film, or something small hidden for obsessive fans to see (like the X-Wings and TIE Fighters).

I've yet to see anyone disprove this: but right after the opening scroll and the camera pans up, the USS Voyager can be seen moving from centre screen to lower right hand corner. One of the N-1's block it for a sec. On the DVD it's easy to pause frame on it.

Also, isn't the pan-up a easter egg in itself?

A blooper, and I'm not sure anyone else has noticed it.

Assume, for a moment, that Padme's apartment is on the northwest corner of the building. In other words, here's a description of the first sequence at the apartment:

    1. Establishing shot of the apartment building, looking at its eastern face.

    2. An elevator, holding our two Jedi, glides up the southwest edge of the apartment.

    3. Obi-Wan and Anakin, inside the elevator, talking.

    4. Jar-Jar walks from the apartment living room to the southeast elevator and greets Obi-Wan.

    5. Padme walks off the west balcony and talks to the Jedi.

    Did ya notice?

    2. An elevator, holding our two Jedi, glides up the southwest edge of the apartment.

    4. Jar-Jar walks from the apartment living room to the southeast elevator and greets Obi-Wan.

Subtle -- and the conversation within the elevator makes it harder to remember where the elevator is located relative to the rest of the building -- but the elevator definitely switched sides.

The scene where we see Anakin and Padme's shadow's. The shadows seem to be near the middle of the hut. The next shot however, when we see them hugging, shows the shadows have moved over

    Meadow Picnic
(B)(2)*Audio and Visual Easter Egg: As Padmé runs to Anakin after she thinks he has taken a fatal fall from the shaak beast, on the soundtrack on film and CD, from 1:52 to 2:00, there's an echo sound clip of the evacuation alarms from the Death Star II that will ring in the background as the dying Anakin looks up at Luke with his own eyes in ROTJ. As Luke had urged him to do, the Chosen One has remembered his true self, Anakin Skywalker.
So, we are to conclude that in the Meadow, we see the true self of Anakin Skywalker and Luke was right about him.

Passages of Anakin's death in the ROTJ novel also support the connection.
And there was thunder--he [Anakin] cocked his head, strained his ears. [Clouds behind the Meadow waterfalls.]
Yes, spring thunder, for a spring rain, to make the flowers bloom.
Yes, there...he felt a raindrop on his lips. He licked the delicate droplet...but wait, it wasn't sweetwater, it was salty, it was...a teardrop. He focused on Luke once again, and saw his son was crying.
"Luke, you were right, you were right about me. Tell your sister...you were right."
With that he closed his eyes, and Darth Vader- Anakin Skywalker- died.

    * I haven't seen anyone else notice this Easter Egg.

I don't think Mace's saber ever turns blue. Also, when Obi Wan uses the force to open the door, it slides open in both directions.

    The Kamino Scenes

    (E) I'm convinced you can see the front end of Voyager from Star Trek while Kenobi is shown around in the Clone making factory. But as the show had (I don't think anyway) no FXs from ILM, I'd rate it 4.

Major mistake, forgive spelling. Aki Mundi starts off with a blue saber, looses it, gets marched into the circle, the clones land then he starts swining around a green saber (in a background shot), then he gets on a clone ship and he is using a blue saber. Whats goin on?

In the excecution arena scene, the animal in front of Padmes and Anakins carriage is the same species which was responsible for that hilariuos fart joke in The Phanom Menace...

Only now it has a big plastic cup or something on its butt-end!

I almost fell off the chair in the cinema...

    Cheers
