How do you send pictures along with replies in threads?

 

Do you see the icon next to the smiley face, on the header tool bar?

 

It says to key in URL for image.

I don't know my URL, where can I find it?

 

Okay, right click the image you want to post, it should have a copy URL option. Click it.

Then paste the URL in option box here.

It should then load the photo into your reply.

If you use the Tapatalk app with this forum, you can upload pictures directly from your phone.

 

I do this all the time in the ****posting threads. In fact, it's the only thing I keep Tapatalk for these days -- I use the website in my mobile browser for everything else.

 

Wait you can upload pictures directly? I could have been doing this the whole time. I mean not surprising as I have never once used tap talk

 

Problems with what? Pictures uploaded through Tapatalk are hosted on Tapatalk's own CDN, not on the boards themselves. To the boards, they appear and act as any other hotlinked image.

always host your pics first folks.

 

I mean to be fair I wasn’t going to use Taptalk. I have tried once and hated it so much I was like nah. Chrome it is.

Taptalk never worked for me.

So I cant post imagines I find online unless it's taptalk?

 

There's exceptions for major sites. The rule in question was:


13: Please do not direct-link to any photos that aren't a) hosted on your own storage or b) from a major site (HuffPo, CNN.com) or c) from another site that's said it's okay (e.g. a dedicated picture site). Bandwidth leeching can happen, so please respect the smaller sites by linking via the url feature rather than the img feature. Direct linking URL's are always fine, so long as they conform with the other rules of the Jedi Council. (NOTE: Online comic sites [e.g. Dilbert, Penny Arcade, etc.] prefer links to the whole comic page, rather than just the comic itself.) And, as always, please remember that you are responsible for your own image linkings if the pics get switched on you. The JC Administration reserves the right to remove image links upon request from the owner of a linked site.

 

To be fair I don’t remember when the last time I actually read those rules. Probably 2014 lol

 

Copyright's also an issue - providing full credit for art or photography to its original creator.
