Who is your favourite villian so far??? I hear Zoe/Eve plants a bomb today and tries to kill Sally. I wish Angie or Sarah came back from the dead, but I guess having Zoe and Josie is the writer's way of saying thanks to me advertising their show in my many discussion threads in the last 20 months.

I actually saw this show once. You Aussies should be ashamed of your fellow countrymen for producing such garbage. My viewing of "Home and Away" was the only time I have ever seriously considered suicide as a viable option.

When overseas, and the topic of Australia soap operas come up, I emphasise the fact that I was born in Auckland, in hopes of distancing myself from things like Home and Away.

 

To be fair on my fellow Aussies, garbage like H&A and Neighbours is actually primarily produced for the overseas market.

I belive it's only the british market that really get into this crap, as well as prepubescent impressionable little girls here in Australia.

There's a reason it showcases an impossibly good looking young teen cast, with supporting role "parents" and "adults" to act as the show's antagonist authourity figures to teach these young kids how to rebel, seeing as years of watching this stuff has sapped their will to generate an original thought of their very own.

Oh please, as opposed to the quiet and simmering genius of Passions, Days Of Out Lives, Dallas, Dynasty, All My Children, Bold And The Beautiful and the umpteen other American soaps.

We might make crap version but your country invented the format

It might suprise you but soaps like these help cement the social structure of teen life, at least in beachside suburbs on the eastern seaboard. There's no rebellion when you desperatley want to count yourself among the pretty one's that dish

SUMMER BAY HAS TURNED INTO AN F'N ASYLUM!!! Ever since Eve/Zoe supposedly died (the Xena-esque ending makes me believe she is still alive) crime has increased in Summer Bay since every week there seems to be something going wrong. I love this new darker look rather than th happy-go-lucky bulls***. Now onto my main post....

First of all Danny Raco aka Alexie is now a regular on Blue Heelers. That show is too boring for me to watch, but Danny and Charlie Clausen are hot. That Jonesy dude is ugly. Second of all I like Eve/Zoe now, but that evil psycho Angela Russell and Sarah Lewis are still better. Also Amanda Vale (aka former Dancing with the stars contestant and Beastmaster star Holly Brisley) is now on the show and she is a lot like Angela and Josie Russell, except less evil.
