This is a close one, but I think Bane would take it in the end.

My vote goes to Ulic Qel-Droma. Darth Bane was a strong duelist but he became over reliant on his orbalisks to protect him, resulting in the deterioration of his lightsaber skills.

Glad to see Ulic taking this. He's just overall much more impressive then Bane. Defeating Mandalore and matching Exar Kun's power while severely weakened...Ulic is insanely strong.

Bane, on the other hand, is strong, but more notable for his lasting legacy than anything else.

 

Usually I favour 'ancient' over 'modern' in terms of Sith power any day, but Bane does display far more Force feats than Ulic; literally deadly Force lightning, formidable death field etc. The most Ulic has going for him, IMO, is that he's 1. a master lightsaber duelist and 2. he *seemingly* matched the power of Exar Kun, an absurdly powerful Dark Lord. Yet, he was nonetheless easily dispatched by Vodo-Siosk Baas.

So after much humming and hawing I'm going to say Bane narrowly triumphs over his ancient forebear here.

I think Bane was more powerful, so he'd probably win, but it wouldn't be easy.
