I spent all day yesterday listening to Hinterland by Aim before making sure that my copying of Lemon Jelly's Muggsy was listenable... for several hours...

 

Well that was to be expected from a program that ran forever...what did you expect Will in at number 2??

I don't want to go into the hyper-manfactured thing at the moment..it's distressing to think the concept has ever taken off...there is some top talent about at the moment...who don't stand a chance because of Simon Fuller and his determination to kill musical talent....man we should of exported the guy after the Spice Girls...

I think Will can sing. A certain type of song...not the commercial crap he's been made to sing by Simon Fuller et al...more loungey type stuff.

Whether he can sing has 50% to do with it...Sinitra couldn't sing, Bob Dylan couldn't sing....Will has no class...no sparks..

He has been plucked from his degree without any hard graft refining his talent, his image and every move will be spin doctored...I bet the even his outing was carefully timed to keep up sales of the single..the more he's in the public eye..the less chance he's forgotton....

Tactic's we have seen before...and no doubt see again in the next series....

Will is as about as cutting edge as Max Bygraves..

But at least max wrote a couple of songs...and told 'good stories'

 

I suppose it depends on what you think it means to be able to sing.

I personally think Frank Sinatra could sing. Dylan, no way.

But everyone's entitled to their own opinion.

Was beating the hell out of the Moulin Rouge soundtrack again

Am thinking of picking up Faithless' 'Outrospective' - yep their latest one! That and 'blagging' Linkin Park's 'Hybrid theory' off the kid sib!

Am seriously tempted by the 2nd Moulin Rouge CD - The version of 'The Show must go on' is just heartbreaking.
