The whole film had a kinda schmaltzy American sugar ET like coating over what could have been a poignant and eyeopening piece of Sci-Fi

 

I could see the Kubrickian influences during the first part, and the CGI was well done, but spielberg (whom I admire greatly most of the time) had to turn it into his usual schmaltz and it didn't suit the film IMHO. There were some nice touches though that became apparent after I watched some of the extras though

 

man, that statement was too film 2002 for me.

 

With that ranker, Jonathon Woss?

 

Jonathan Woss makes me LOL frequently. I like a man who lives on the edge and occasionally wears skirts.

 

I love him. He's fabby doo.

His radio show on a saturday morning is excellent.

 

the first half of AI was ok, you could see where kubrik was taking it, the kid killing either the parents or the boy child, but just they way she just dumped it sucked.


its a film of 2 halves, the first promising, the second, at best, is sentemantal

john ross is a wight ranker completely his ok on film 2002 cause he aint alound to talk too much. but on his other programs that cwap he calls a chat show and wadio show are wubbish.

as for music listening to i got 8 beach boys albums during the week so listening to them.

But on the speakers at the mo is BRA - for your eyes only.

 

Yeah man, Hybrid Wide Angle is different class.

As for AI, was gonna buy the DVD but i think maybe i'll just rent it now. You've all put me off it. Waaaaaaaaaah

Yesterday I went into Fopp and bought the virgin suicides and Everybody Hertz by Air and got an official Air DVD free

Was listening to Everybody Hertz on the drive home this morning - man that album is fecking ace when you have it up really loud in the car!

Also bought the rereleased NERD album yesterday - I must admit, there are a few songs that you don't notice much of a difference in from the old version, but on the majority of the songs there is a much more live sounding approach - especially Truth or Dare, which sounds even better now. Wooooo!
