SWC19 Checking In for SWCC

This thread is for everyone to check in as they arrive to Chicago. Some started their travels today and many of us will continue throughout the week. Whether you are arriving by Tauntaun, speeder or public transport dressed as refugees, be safe. And may the Force be with you!

I'm lame. I'll just be coming by car.

 

Hopefully for us it will not be TaunTaun as we are expected to get hammered with snow starting on Wednesday at some point (Minneapolis)
We will be driving in to Milwaukee Wed and then driving into Chicago early Thur morning.

Same here. Coming over from Michigan. It's only a 2.5 hour drive for me.

 

I got my speeder serviced this morning, just got to pack it tonight

We're leaving Friday night, (to be there Sunday) and it's gonna be like a 13 hour drive,

 

Amtrak from Michigan on Wednesday morning!

Obi-Ann, hope you got that costume finished, glad you have arrived safely. wish I could meet up with everyone on Weds. or Thurs.

Wow ! that was light speed! how is the weather? heard something about a bit of snow.

Weather’s been great this afternoon

 

I have reached my midway point, spending the night at my best friend’s who lives in Louisville KY. Heading out for another 4 hour drive in the morning!

 

Just landed in Chicago. I was able to leave LaGuardia two hours early on an earlier flight, so that was a good start to this trip . I’ll spend the rest of the day exploring Chicago and figuring out the best way to get to McCormick Place.

 

I've just boarded my plane! Be there in about two hours!
