I liked it,lots of great action and plenty of humour. There were one or two bits of clunky animation in the background but it was definitely worth giving it a cinematic outing.I wasn't sure I'd like the 3D animation, since I loved the cell animation of the other clone wars series, but it works really well and has a great feel to it.

    Looking forward to the series.

so what happens to Ahsoka then???

there is no mention of her in Volume 2 of the Clone Wars animated cartoon series...?!?!?!?!?

see.... this is why "Normal" movie makers make their sequals and such "IN ORDER" so you cant screw it up by going backwards!!!!

Boba an unaltered clone????? sheesh, really!!!! we all know he is Jaster Mareel

    ;) [face_laugh]

Jaster was a name of another Mando, that Boba took the name of after Jaster was gone ;)

Just found out some info to suggest that the film and series *does* take place between Chapters 21 and 22 of the micro series. Which makes sense.

I also found out that I should've hung around until after the credits...doh!

I haven't been able to see it till the opening night.

apparently the east coast can't show it until that night. but the west coast can. Someone in denver got tickets and I know the other states on the west coast got the chance. Bugger

Well, I loved it! I was expecting to not like it as it was animated and not live action...boy was I wrong!!! The music was good the action incredible, there was no lull in between scenes, no cheesy love scenes. Very good all around! The graphics were good and even the script was well done! There was enough banter and action to keep anyone interested. The story flowed well.

Yes, the Jawas at the end were funny! But I liked the humor they provided throughout the story. :)

Totally excelent, although i still find the animation style on the human faces a little awkward. For mechanical and alien aspects it works a treat , but overall a completely rousing experience . I loved the Truman Capote style Hutt. How very Camp .... He may have even Outcamped C3PO in this case. The nose art on the dropships was awesome... Painted on the back of a leather jacket..... hmmmmm... and Padmaes Butt ... well its animated isnt it.... very well animated. And the big At-Te climbing the cliffs... heee yaah ... thanks for listening. MORE FISTO!!!!!

[face_thinking] Ok so where does this movie fit some are saying between clones wars 1 & 2 but if this is so anakin did not know asaaj venturas until they fought for the first in time part 2 were she was tossed of the edge of a cliff Thought to be killed??????! (they did not know who the assasin was)
But in the new movie Obi wan reconised her and so did anakin which places it between cartoon 2 and episode 3 which means she does not die in cartoon 2 so we have not seen her real fate yet????????????? more movies to come or cartoons me thinks! plus dooku recruits asaaj in part 2 and she receives her first mission to attack anakin [face_thinking]

The film and new series *does* take place between Chapters 21 and 22 of the micro series. Chapter 21 of the micro series is the first one of the 2nd volume where Anakin becomes a full Jedi (where he gets his braid lopped off) I think, with the 'real' story starting in Chapter 22. Hence why his hair is longer but not full on mullet stylee yet ;) It all makes sense, I'm sure many suspected Ventriss to survive. Hell, some have indicated that Dirge will be back in the series too!

Nothing has ever stopped Lucas from messing with his own timeline and even contradicting stuff. It would be nice if it were a little 'neater' in that if someone wants to watch the whole kit and kaboodle in chronological order it will now involve movie-movie-cartoon-animated movie-animated series-cartoon-movie...argh! ;)

I had a look at my clone wars animated again the other night and these stories flesh out the timeline that was quickly passed over in a montage in ep.22.

There are a few inconsistencies between the series(Kenobi using his ep 2 starfighter in the new series and Anakin using his ep 3 fighter in the animated series for example)but they're a fairly small niggle overall.

Myself and Lady Rhadei went to see the newest Star Wars move, "The Clone Wars".
I insisted on watching this at the cinema, when it was released or as soon as possible
as the last Star Wars movie I saw in the cinema was Star Wars: Episode One - The Phantom Menace.
(Which of course screwed up during the scene where the Gungans march to war through the fog.)

Now, before I go onto the actual movie of "The Clone Wars", I'd like to officially say that the cinema service
attendant/s sucked ass as well as the "Service" they offered. This won't make much sense to you guys outside
of the region, but I wanted to tell you guys of it. Had it not been for the brilliant movie, my night would have been ruined
and a good $35 down the drain spent of overly priced tickets on concession, as well as overly priced displeasing snacks
    and nibbles.

The Clone Wars, is a brilliant movie. Some I have spoken to have been skeptical as it is CGI Animated
but that meant very little to me. The storyline was brilliant. For those of you who have seen the Clone Wars animated
series on Foxtel/Cartoon Network - I'll tell you that it is made in the same story telling method.
I won't tell any of you what happens, so you can go see it for yourselves but the story telling is a mixture
of both the animated series style, and the Phantom Menace style.

It was brilliantly layed out, though slightly difficult to get into as I was unsure of where it fit into.
It has alot of humour, and there is always a dumb droid making remarks with are funny as hell
I don't think many people laughed at it, but was brilliant to me and LR.

TCW gets a home on Australian TV

It will be on Channel Ten this Novemeber, which hopefully is a good thing, provided that unlike other shows they actually stick to showing all of them.;)

But at least we get them on commercial T.V!
